Off-Field Team Restructure

https://www.brentfordfc.com/news/2019/august/brentford-fc-off-the-pitch-restructure/

There has been a re-organisation of the Brentford FC off-field staff over the summer as the Club prepares to say Farewell Griffin Park. Brentford will be leaving Griffin Park after 116 years at the end of the 2019/20 season – which starts on Saturday when Birmingham City are the visitors – and everything is prepared for the last year in our historic home. Before The Bees move to Brentford Community Stadium next summer there have been some changes to the off-field team.

Fans will, I’m sure, notice some changes over the coming months but I believe these will be positive. We want to make sure we are providing as much revenue as we can that can be spent supporting our Premier League ambitions and looking after our current fans as well as engaging new ones. I am sure the work we will be doing off the pitch, coupled with the performances on the pitch, will continue to make us a Club to be proud of.”

Sounds like he’s completely overhauled our sales and commercial teams, he can’t of thought much of them before.

Do many of us think much of them? Does this mean the end of random 70's themed matches in the middle of October?

Hope not. That will mean the end of PG.

You would think they had spell check being all premier league ready

“We have found a space that I hope will inspire the staff and provide them with an eviornmemt that will help everyone achieve their goals”

Fan Engagement Manager! That's a laugh!!

Little point when half the staff don't know how to respond. He/she will have their work cut out trying to rectify that one!

All seems good on the face of it.

Do nothing and nothing changes, from the outside it seems a step in the right direction, time will tell however at least there is some positive action being taken by our new CEO which hopefully will result in a step change for a number of staff

Fair comment. But I'm always sceptical when these fanciful titles are given out before the issue has been properly sorted internally. Putting someone in a role like this when there are still big issues to address often seems like setting the post-holder up for a hard time, if not to fail.
