Off to Selhurst Park?
Chairman Noades is reported in today's press that he is seriously considering moving BFC to Selhurst Park. It is suggested that as he owns Selhurst Park there would be a significant finacial advantage for BFC to move there.
Well, IMO, if we move to SP then the crowds would fall to around the 2,500 - 3,500 mark. SP is in the middle of nowhere as far as geting there easily and qwuickly from west London. Many supporters would just not bother, especially if they have children to take. The time and/or cost factors would be too much of a deterrent.
This would be suicide for BFC and if Chairman Noades moves the club to south London then it will push BFC even closer to the brink of extinction. I agree with Chairman Noades that GP is not a sustainable option, but it is likely to provide a longer term survival option than moving the club to the wilderness known as south London and Selhurst Park.
