Nice Collection Bob. Didn't even think of saving mine :(

I've got a fair few tickets from old Bees and England games. I chucked a load recently but kept some of the bigger games. It's incredible looking at the prices for games that dont seem all that long ago - e.g. Bees v Man City, FA Cup 4th Round 1989, £3.50 for members (and that's got to be an adult ticket Bob cos you aint that young sunshine)

..................kept all my football and gig tickets..................never to be thrown...............

I've got a fair few as well, I used to put them in the programme, when I bought them, now they are just lying around somewhere. Some people pay good money for them.

Try here if you want to get shot of them. http://www.pmfc.co.uk/

That Birmingham one from 1990, is that the game that was postponed on the Saturday and then played the folowing midweek?

some amazing memories just looking at those tickets - oh we hark for those days again...still to succeed we must first believe we can!

Old Tickets...

On the Birmingham ticket "please be seated one hour before kick off":eek:

That's the one. If I remember correctly we were separated from the Zulu's by some netting that looked like it would struggle to keep the birds off my Dad's strawberry patch.

Pretty scary stuff - but a great result.

I was halfway up to that game on the Saturday when we heard it was called off, we went on to watch West Brom play Oldham, I think, and it was beautiful sunshine, couldn't believe that the game at St Andrews had been postponed and we thought Brum were trying to pull a fast one.
We got our revenge by winning the game when it was played.

Must dig out the video of the game.:D

That Manchester City ticket is interesting. Didn't MarkMCFC tell us that the paddock was seated well before that game - even though I distinctly remember being there and standing up.

Bob, would love to get a scan of the relevant tickets for framing sometime....but the Sunderland ticket ****s things up :(

Old Tickets...

I know of a few tickets that were forged for the Blackburn away game.

Old Tickets...

It was just orange paper with black ink. Even though the originals had dark blue ink it didn't matter.

That's actually quite cool. I keep most of my ticket stubs. Look at how different the pricing was only 10 or so years ago though. Still, what goes up must come down, mustn't it..? :)

I've got a League Cup ticket against Sheff Wed from 1985 knocking around somewhere.

Old Tickets...

I've got a First Day Cover from a game we played at Grimsby, I think it would be late 60's, when The Mariners were maybe Division Four Champions.

That's because Mark was talking about the Manchester City cup game in 1997.

that's from 1972, Grimsby were champions when we went up in 1971-72.

I've kept loads of old tickets from football and gigs over the years and have to agree about the prices.

I've got cup final tickets fron the early 80's costing about £3.50!
