RIGHT this game is some time soon i think and i want to go. therefore i STRONGLY suggest that you tell me the date of this match, whether this date is a saturday, whether i have any other plans for that day which need cancelling and how much the train costs, otherwise it just gets nasty. please deal.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING PUBLIC TRANSPORT TO OLDHAM

The line from Manchester to Oldham is closed in order to convert it into the tram. I would suggest these methods of alternative transport:

  1. Take a train from Manchester Victoria to Mills Hill (£2.60 with trains leaving at xx00 and xx30) and get a taxi to the ground (will cost approx £4). Chadderton Cars (0161 624 9329)
  2. Get either the 181 or 182 bus to the ground (Day Saver - £4)

The bus would probably be cheaper

cheers salford. how much is taxi from manchester to the ground in price and time/distance please?

:owusu:

Oldham

It's 8.4 miles (and would take around half an hour) so I would imagine in a Private Hire car it'd be between £15-20 although in a black cab it might be around £30-35 (one way). Has potential if in a group of people.

If travelling from the Leeds area it's worth changing at Rochdale to get to Mills Hill.

Also note there are £22 tickets available if travelling there and back on the day available.

.........................on the advice of the Northumbria Police, the game has been moved back to the Sunday......................

Back to Saturday now as it clashed with the Rochdale Annual stamp collecting festival

Oldham

Now on Friday due to Holysmit requesting to do three northern grounds in three days.

Oldham

Oldham are charging fans just £2 for their game against Exeter.
Good Idea !
Take note BFC.

Oldham

Does that involve more effort and/or walking?

Oldham

It involves ringing up a taxi and they can pick you up from the station. Personally I'll stay in Manchester until around 2 before heading on to Oldham.

Yes except the majority of our fans would be going via Manchester because it is far more sensible than venturing into Yorkshire to head back into the wonderful county of Lancashire.
