DJ was very well known to most clubs in the Football league but no one was prepared to take a chance with him as he had a history of being a bit of a handful off the pitch and his fingerprints were on file. Doubt many questioned his ability, however only MA had the cojones to give him another go and seem to recall it was £5K and a friendly for a prolific goalscorer at non league who had walked out of Villa as a kid.
