On this day

The only thing about that day I look back with regret is theat we didn't stick four more passed them in the second half.

And today.... That penalty :)

Doncaster game 2 years ago today

And exactly 6 years ago Saturday we won the league at Darlington :computer::bound:
Let's just say the celebrations at half time at the Majeski in the forecourt were a bit more reserved than then :nutty: :beer:

Best half time knees up by any team ever.

FACT

Doncaster's twitter account posting photos of the game! How sad seeing where both clubs are now!

Doncaster game 2 years ago today

Watching that on YouTube still sends shivers down the back of my spine
Although looking back now it was a blessing in disguise, and that Wembley defeat to Yorville, because we came back stronger and better :sorted:

Look at where those 2 teams are now, compared to where we are! :bound:

JB :warbs:

On this day

Thought there was a thread for this but couldn't find it.
37 years ago today was the Freight Rover Trophy Final against Wigan.
The build up from the 6-0 win over Newport all the way up to the day itself.
It was a great day and then the game started.
Thinking of people that I went with that day who are no longer with us.

I still remember the headline for that (think it was the Chronny).

"Six-goal salvo sees Bees through."

On this day

4,771 Attendance
Considering the run we were on and how appalling the quality of performances was, I’m surprised that many people were there!

Also, that figure probably included all ST holders and I reckon quite a few had stopped turning up by then.

How times have changed ...... we had more turn up for a 6th tier woman's game on Sunday!

On this day, 16 years ago…

Brentford 0-4 Crewe

4,771 Attendance and it led to the resignation of Leroy Rosenior.
Saw that and then saw us lose at Crewe 3-1 which from memory was the game that sent us down that year? (practically we were down by Xmas tho).

Joe Keith and Calum Willock. Imagine this was all a dream and we wake up in 2007 tomorrow and we've got away to Yeovil. You'd kill for a suspended Ivan Toney, just to talk about

On this day

Has Leroy Rosenior ever been invited to GTech does anyone know?

As much as it didn''t work out for him here, due to the time and budget restraints, I still feel he was one manager who deserves recognition even though results didn't go his way,.

I don’t know but I would trust that he has, a class act and a very decent, articulate, likeable man

I hope he has been invited back and I felt for the man that night as the vitriol really spewed up in some peoples opinions.
In saying that,if he turned an invite down then I would understand as his departure that night wasn't pretty.
He is a lovely bloke too which makes it worse

I seem to remember hearing that he has no hard feelings and almost laughed how bad it was. He also said we gave him loads of grief but none of it was ever racial. Which is as it should be but not guaranteed alas - so was nice to hear.

This was me actually cheering him on believe it or not ?

You can see from his thumb he appreciated it ?

What are you holding and well done too btw,but what are you holding in your hand?

Obviously you have kept the newspaper article and after all these years it has come in right handy.
Hats off to you for that.

It was an eon sponsored fa cup match the week before this crewe game (lost 1-0 to Doncaster ) so they would have given us some happy clappy things #fulham

That was the game when The Trolly 'scored' through a hole in the back of the net but the ref didn't give it, probably because he usual missed from that distance.
