Hmmm, why is the other Gary Smith thread closed when it has more background information to this news and this thread is allowed to continue ?
And another thing, I updated the other thread two minutes before this thread was started, so if any thread should be closed, it should be this one :wave:

Then why does it have to be moderated so heavily. That information would have made more sense in the previous thread where we have talked about it. There is no need for a new thread just because he's an ex bee.

We are told not to start new threads, not to bump up old threads etc. Maybe it would be better if

A) Moderators went easier on posters as ultimately the GPG is meant to be fun
B) Explained why they have these rules so people could understand why not to do these things.

Here's some guidance:

If there is "new" news then start a new thread.
We ask that you don't bump old threads because you are likely to be posting "new news".
If you are not posting "new news" then add your crap to the existing thread.
Where more than one thread starts at or about the same time the modeators don't generally use their employer's time to enter into a value judgement about which thread is "best", one or more will be closed. We are sorry if your feeling are hurt but remember IT'S JUST A THREAD!
We do not merge threads for "technical reasons"


I know it's tough for some of our posters to comprehend but it keeps the place tidy and thousands of you coming back every day. If you want a place with nobody tidying-up then there are plenty of messy places in which to throw around your toys.

I really, really, really, really do not care. Do whatever you want, argue the toss with anyone who might have a modicum of interest. There were two threads, I closed what I thought was the appropriate one as he is no longer playing for us. It's not as if I murdered somebody's first born.

Shall we move on now dear?

I am going to spend a good 2 hours deciding which side of the fence I am going to fall across before I offer my wisdom.
This is a toughie, Les says nobody got hurt but maybe feelings have been tinkered with, emotional hurt is a far worse pain than physical IMO. Punch me and I'll bruise but have unlawful sex with me and I'm never forgetting your horribleness that's now planted in my brain. I'm not rushing this one.

Who put the "LDV" in the title of the thread, concerning Luton's possible appeal against a decision now to allow them into the JPT this season ?

Just like Tea-anne-amen Square, the Iranian Elections and SouthamptonTicketDisaster, this is another cover up, and I suspect Banana to be the cause, yet again....when, oh when will this country be rid of this menace to society :banghead:

When will this credit crunch end, so Banana can swan off again to sunnier climes (sp ???)

My research suggests it's only been used 15 times in posts and yours is the first time it has been used twice. Well done you. I will of course now merge all of the 16 posts into a special Climes thread.

From your post and reaction to what had been said/written on here in regard to the Gary Smith court case, you didn't sound too happy in your role/work as a moderator on this website.
Hence the change of a career post, in reference to you being a moderator.

What can I say :shrug: Sedna is one of our more hands-on Gods and she steps in frequently. She was solely responsible for 13.8% of the total 2008 random post deletion.
