I know it's only a small thing and we get told off complaining about the wrong things buuuuuuuuuutttt....

this could've been a really nice collector's item for fans and had it looked good would've been snapped up quickly. But it just looks crap with no forethought at all.

For my GP 50th anniversary in 2015-16 I'm thinking of designing a special shirt for myself, or I may just have a retro 1960s version with "MANSLEY 11" on the back.
This silver kit looks cack to me, but then I haven't actually had a replica shirt since 95.

Could we not have done what Millwall have done and printed the name of all players that have represented us on it, that would have made it a bit more attractive.

It's not "Brentford FC" though :shrug:

The FITC do so much work and good for the club that the least they deserved was a proper Brentford shirt with a little bit of difference, showing the association to BFC and 25 years, so IMO it should've been Red and White with Silver or Red and Silver stripes as I suggested earlier. Plain silver with black is not my idea of a Brentford shirt. Sorry it's cack. :(

What if we drop the vital points which keep us out of the play-offs because these silver shirts aren't as easy to pick out in a crowd? Like Man Utd at Southampton that time. You don't want to go up Brentford - actually, I'll put that on my anniversary shirt.

you guys saying "stop moaning, get a grip" are of course exactly right, no worries. this IS a great positive move by the club and the Football in the Community movement deserve huge respect for all the work they've done over the last 25 years. i'm proud of them and proud of the club for recognising them.

the kit is a touch bland, and could possibly have been made a bit more special, and it's a tiny tiny pity that they didn't put a little more effort into that. (mind you if my (er, wanderer paul's) red'n'silver idea had been produced the GPG would, of course, have been up in arms - "how can you desecrate the sacred kit?" etc etc)

but all round, it's a great touch and good work by the club :sorted:

It still looks rank though.

Nice gesture but the design looks even worse than the mock up. How the **** are you supposed to see the logo?

I hope there's an orderly queue when the 300 kits go on sale in the club shop. One for the real collectors. Not fully expecting outrageous ebay bidding once they sell out unfortunately.

:imwith: it's not so bad really.

nice idea and the club definitely seem to be going in the right direction off the field. a bit more work could've gone into this, but still, good on those involved :sorted:

Agreed, bought it for my seven year old and he keeps on asking when we're going to wear it. Mind you he uses it as a goalkeepers top!!!
