By my reckoning another 40 points *might* get us into 6th...which probably equates to something like 12 wins and 4 draws from our last 18.
Likely? Not really, but we're playing well again and something to aim for now that (I think) the threat of relegation is disappearing in the rear view mirror.

Our run to Wembley opens up after beating Barnet. If we ease past AFC, Newport, and Shrewsbury the final against QPR will be the day we end our run of losing finals in all competitions. I'm off to make a big tinfoil replica FA cup.

12 is probably a good shout.
Last five seasons three teams have got into the playoffs with 72/74/75 points, in each of those, team in 6th after 29 games had 47 or 48 points. Bristol City are currently in that position with 47, so not unreasonable to think that 72-74 will give you a chance. We need to find 12 wins to reach that number , very tall order, but might as well dream now !

We'd need to win 12 and draw 2 to get 75 points which is what we'll need and while not impossible you'd be very brave to bet large on it given we've only won 1 game away from home this season.
