Moved up the table one place yesterday!

Mark my words, once the window is closed we will have a squad of players fully capable of finishing in, at worst, top 6

Lose your 25 goal striker yet still think you'll finish top 6 ?

The team doing our medical reports are on time-and-a-half for evenings and weekends.

2013/14 got our record league total points and got promoted to the championship, *clayton only* scored 17.

Yes its nice having a 25 goal striker for a change but ultimately it means not much.

What will be even more fantastic will be so many current bees doing well in the PL

Lionel Road is in the same direction as Poland, but it’s only ten minutes walk from GP. Good to have Poland’s top player though.

Both my kids (for the first time) getting really involved and enjoying the game.

Needed a thread to vent my feelings. Struggling with a lot of the negativity amongst some of our fans. To the point today while travelling back home to Somerset after the game, I was longing to be back in League 1 and 2 with the core 5,000 bumbling along happy together. This club has come on such a long way in relative short time, I'm only 29 and been supporting since I was 11, in that time I've seen relegation, promotions and failed play off attempts. I've seen some great players and some awful players. I've seen buckets shaked to save the club.

Scroll through social media and comments at GP and when away shocks me. Seems to be a culture of the need for "Instant success" creeping in with some of our fanbase and I don't understand it.
I'm under no illusion with our current attendances and size of fan base and our relative recent history we could be classed as one of the smallest clubs in the league so we have no devine right to win it.

I'm as ambitious as any other fan I want to win every game and want to be in the Premier League, but I'm also realistic. Understand the size of the challenge. Without Matthew we could quite easily be struggling like Bury.

Brentford for me allows me to escape every day life and enjoy my time with my Brother and Dad, but when we lose it becomes a chore with all the negativity about.

One of the best days out, superb boat trip in great company and an excellent lunchtime session.
Cutty Sark by the Riverside in the sun with Voice, his family and friends, then moved on for Pie and Mash and a few more leisurely lagers with more top notch Bees stalwarts in Greenwich Market.
What’s not to like?

Another cracking day out. Still loving the Championship. We'll be fine once everything clicks.

With the pie and mash shop can you still get stewed eels ?

No longer attend games but receive very detailed reports from “Janorak “ who goes home and away. Also read with interest the various comments on the match report thread which often significantly differ!!!

Have read the moaning and whining on here tonight plus the laughable comment that TF has lost the dressing room plus the even more ludicrous call for his head!!! FFS the season has hardly started there are still many points to play for.

We have a team of highly skilled footballers, some are new to the league or indeed the country, some are recovering from injuries whilst others are being asked to play in new positions. You can’t just waive a magic wand and everything falls into place.

The players need to understand how their team mates think and how they play that understanding can only be achieved by playing matches together. From the match reports Marcondes for example is totally useless and should be binned, whereas one poster has put his head above the parapet and made a very good defence of him, strangely it reflects the match report I was sent. I can think of many other players that have been similarly vilified but eventually have turned opinion. Sawyers springs immediately to mind.

The start of the season has been disappointing and we miss both Romaine and Maupay. I note the criticism of the DoF in not getting a replacement for Neil however it was not for lack of effort, rather the issue of greedy agents, I know we also offered decent money for the Charlton lad but guess other possible targets were beyond our budget.

Have no doubt that the component parts of the squad are excellent and, as the players begin to gell and fully understand their roles we will start to click into gear.

It does seem that success is an instant demand, something we have seen in other clubs but have managed to avoid until now, more and more I am reading comments making ridiculously naive posts because we have not started like a train!!

Patience is required, we have seen clubs in the past start on fire but, like the decorations, start to fall after Christmas, both Tranmere and Orient spring to mind and I wouldn’t want to swap places with them!!!!

I have every confidence that we will improve as the weeks go on and by the turn of the year will be nicely placed in the top 10 ready for a push to the playoffs or beyond. The season doesn’t finish for many months, we have the Greek lad to bring to the party plus the other forward due in January, injured players are returning and those tired from international duty are getting some game time.

As a rule my glass is somewhere between half empty and the dregs at the bottom but having watched us for 60 years I can’t believe some of the negativity that’s now running riot, remember the days of Mike Everett??? This team has the potential to be very special and I would far rather have a quiet start and build to a crescendo next April than the other way round.

Keep the faith this team potentially is the one that can go all the way

We will get there. The players must stay positive and believe in their ability and the fans must stay positive and act as an extra man on the pitch.

Opinions count for nothing, doing is what counts, stay positive, be positive, motivate, just support at every moment no matter the outcome, there is always the next game :sorted::bees:

Fine margins. In both the Brum and Charlton games we had enough chances to have won the games by a couple of goals. Had we done so on exactly the same performances but with the ball going a couple of inches the other way I think everyone would have been purring about how great we already were and rubbing their eyes in disbelief at the potential once everyone was fully up to speed with the division, match fitness or their new roles. And that's without Mbeumo's strike against Leeds or Jeanvier's header agonisingly wide against Hull.

Absolutely glorious day here on Burley Moor. Fantastic conditions in which to miss one of the great Ashes days.

It's not as if we are on the wrong end of any hidings. We will improve as the season progresses and it will take a few more games. I always prefer the analogy with fitting a new car engine, takes a while for it to bed in before firing on all cylinders and more fine tuning may be necessary. These are good times, who'd have imagined this a few years ago when we were getting spanked at Dagenham?

Canos was sh*t... :D

But it was quality sh*t, not the sh*t we were watching under Leroy, Butcher.. ( continues with examples from last 50 years)........

Agree, it shows how far we’ve come when we are having inquests after losing 1-0 away to the top and second placed teams in the Championship, and they are Leeds and Charlton rather than Blackpool and Wycombe.
We outfootballed Charlton all game, we couldn’t put the ball in the net and we conceded a soft goal that was their only chance in 90+ minutes.
I don’t want this to sound like sour grapes but I wouldn’t take any of their players over ours, certainly not Jonny Williams or Lyle Taylor.
We haven’t clicked and guessing it’s because we’ve had unfit first choice players being rushed back a bit too quick but it will come good although I wish Ollie could learn to play the number 9 role as believe he’s keen to play there.

I wish he could mate but hes just too weak for someone of his size and mentally isn't strong enough either....gets bullied far too easily for my liking and is more suited elsewhere....njot his fault but we need someone a lot tougher and more aggressive imho....maupay would be good in that position ;) lol lol

I heard on the radio earlier today that people who are optimistic live longer than pessimists.

I now think we’ll win the Championship this season. ?

THE most positive thought today is that no matter what players we've sold, what team we put out, what results we've had so far this season - thanks to our owner the Bees are in a much better position than the other two B's......Bolton and Bury.
