We are closing in on what I have always thought was the best way to get Promoted

Top 10 at Christmas
Top 6 at Easter
After Easter push on upwards

We have the lad from Holland to come in, Yearwood nearly up to the required level, possibility of Marcondes and Forss returning in the up coming Transfer Window . Also the possibility of more Transfer activity

I've always thought this is the way to do it, too early and you're too high on everyone's radar, come in at Nov/Dec and you stay fairly under it. You make yourself less of a target until it's a lot further in to the season. Norwich did it well last year.

We just need to keep on playing and keep on getting points and we should continue our rise. We've consistently had 'they're the best team we've played' in recent weeks from our opposition, if we keep on going like that we will be up there.

Exactly what my dad would have said if he was still with us. "You don't want the pressure too soon. Let others have all that".

The genius Matthew Benham has had our future planned for years. He realised Premier League football would be difficult at Griffin Park.
So he decided we would wait until Lionel Road was finished before we get promoted. Well that time is here.
Apart from West Brom and Leeds this division is very average and we are capable of beating anyone. Our main problem since we have been in the Championship has been our defence.
Well thats been put right. This is our chance.

We are already over halfway towards safety after 17 games. Once we get 53 points it’s all systems go!

Was looking at the non league results and realised just how many of those teams we had played in recent years and how their trajectory has been so done different to ours.

It is amazing how far we have come under the stewardship of MB and who knows just where that journey is going to take us

The four nearest PL and EFL clubs to my house are bottom three in their respective divisions, that lot in W12 are on the slide but for Matthew Benhams red and white army life looks pretty good at the moments

Watched the 1st half of Leeds game and if they are the bestest team in the Championship, as one pundit said prior to kick off, I'm an Egyptian ! Gone to bed. Dirty Leeds were pants ... Which is good news, in my book

Annoying they got the win, but Reading were dire when they entered the final third. Their new Director of Football may have organised them well, but most of their attacking play was severely lacking...

Swansea's draw though means that a win for us tomorrow and we will definitely move into the play offs, in light of Brizzle playing Forest.

Brizzle are at West Brom and Forest are at QPR. A draw in both of those and a win for us, would put us 5th on goal difference.

Three teams conceded 4 goals last night, two of them rivals for promotion above us and one we can all laugh about, so our goal difference has improved relatively.

It’s a case of three steps forward and one back. I’m still convinced we will be in the top six come the end of this season.

27 pts from 18 games strikes me as better than some seasons. Also extrapolates easily to 69 pts for the season. Only a little improvement would see Play Offs/ Club record achieved....

Yep, our best after 18 games since the 14/15 season where we reached the play-offs (we had 31 by this point in that season)

I don't think we're likely to get a lot of draws this season but could easily get a couple of wins for every defeat. In the remaining 27 games that would give us 84 points and in most seasons comfortably 3rd or 4th place, possibly even sneaking top 2. December's fixtures will give us a good idea of things and I think we have a good chance against any team that tries to play, but today's result shows that we can crush the weaker teams.

Will be interesting to see how Leeds fare against the Terriers next Sat without Kalvin Phillips. They were lucky to win at Reading in midweek and a negative result against them could upset the applecart somewhat.
