Orient match reports

Same old

Have majority possession and shots. Zero goals.

I keep asking myself are we good enough to go up?

Look at the team player by player in the Coppell era.

Maybe only 2-3 would get into the team. So why is that the case? The mangers fault? Or the budget?

Orient match reports

a change of manager perhaps ????

how he could leave that rubbish hayes on till the 80th min beggars belief.....we done enough to win 3 games but we just cant finish.....WE HAVE TO SIGN A PROPER STRIKER BEFORE ITS TOO LATE....YOU LISTENING UWE ????

Orient match reports

Incredibly disappointing! we had the whole game and to be fair didnt create enough clear cut chances.
Orient are absolute sh*te and this was daylight robbery.
Hayes for El-Alagui was a huge mistake.
We are just not ruthless enough.

Orient match reports

Just get the match reports out for the last six games we have played there cos this was the same!!! No good and Hayes is the striker we had hoped for unfortunately... Donaldson is is terrible and Andy gives mom to rowlands!!!!
I think Sam Saunders thought he was in a hair gel commercial rather than a football match!!! Uwe the german tinker man pathethic!!!

To all thoose who went there please learn your lesson and don't go again

Orient match reports

Someone please reassure me that Hayes isn't as crap as I am starting to think he is. We have been tracking him for a long time?????????????

no reassurance here chief lol

roslers record with strikers says it all :(

Orient match reports

He seems to chest the ball down okay?!

Orient match reports

Right assuming most of us were able to watch the game one way or another my observations.

Uwe got his selection wrong from the start in terms of the forward line, benching Farid and puttin in a half fit looking Hayes was bad enough. That he compounded that by waiting until the 80th minute to replace the laboured and lumbering Hayes was very poor. Craig had a poor game and against a poweder puff Orient attack still managed to look like a full back being asked to play at centre half. Carded for a clumsy foul and looke like an accident waiting to happen. Harry looked our most creative player and though tiring surely worth leaving on as well as putting Saunders on.

When belatedly Farid did arrive he looked purposeful and had a couple of half chances.

Douglas and Dave and Forshaw did well first half in totally dominating the pedestrian O's midfield in the first half. We looked pretty without creating anything, CD had a decent shot parried by an impressive O's keeper. Second half was more even but Hayes and CD were totally anonymous.

O's goal was scrappy and undoubtedly Offside.

Orient were rubbish, we were in control for 70% of the match and didn't make it count. Once again it pains me to say it but poor selection decisions from Rosler.

On this evidence we won't be going up.

Orient match reports

Rossler thinks Hayes was excellent???????????????????????????????????????

Orient match reports

Match report hayes dreadful craig poor again dave should have gone in the summer & worst of all uwe shocking how he keeps changing the team & he has just said live on sky how well hayes played sums it up for me

We have a proper striker...he was sitting on the bench for 80 bloody minutes:mad1:

Orient match reports

rosler on tele now...his finest comment:-

"paul hayes was excellent tonight"roflroflroflroflrofl

well that 'kin says it all.....i hope mb was watching that interview:rolleyes::banghead:

Orient match reports

Hayes was terrible i thought....
I dont see how uwe saw something different????

Orient match reports

Hayes will be good against better quality teams were we need someone to hold the ball up front, today was not the day we needed him against a proper sh*te Orient team. Farid looked more lively in his 8 minutes than Hayes 82.

A real let down by Uwe tonight

Orient match reports

Rossler thinks Hayes was excellent???????????????????????????????????????

He hasn't just said that has he? Hayes was poor but the bigger question is why was he playing? Decision to leave out Farid was unreal

Orient match reports

oh no one defeat despite outplaying the opposition so lets sack the manager  no doubt this thread will be full of the usual sh*t spouted on this board everytime we dare to lose a game

Orient match reports

if we had nicked this game 1-0 which wasn't beyond us tonight, no one would be making these comments..

Orient match reports

Interesting to see some of the opinions. For me, it's hard to see what we did wrong other than fail to take chances. They had one shot on target and it went in. I'd be worried if we weren't creating chances but we are. There is a bagload of games to go. Don't panic.

Orient match reports

God that was disappointing.

We played pretty football for much of the first half and were in total control but didn't create enough clear cut chances. The stats are misleading, we may have had lots of shots but rarely did we create a genuine goal scoring opportunity. Second half was much more even, Dave and Douglas disappeared, Hayes managed to contribute less than he had in the first half and Donaldson did a bit of good work outside of the box but was too often powder puff when it mattered.

Why Hayes replaced Farid I've no idea, but as others have said, it was a mistake and Hayes has much work to do to persuade me he should start in front of either of the other two front men. We can have all the possession in the world but what we do with it is what matters and I'm still concerned that we're not doing enough with the ball to really hurt teams. How many guilt edge chances did we create/miss today ? Not many, Hayes air shot from three yards out being one and his other effort which was blocked in the first half being another. Donaldson's powder puff shot at the end being the only other I can remember.

Orient match reports

Surely Rosler hasn't just said Hayes was excellent - he was appalling, contributed nothing.

Orient match reports

Donaldson has the touch of a rapist, Hayes is fat and lumbersome.

That is the conclusion I make from this game.

So at least we know where to improve from now.

We do, but I dont think our manager does, no excuses its his side now.

Orient match reports

Over reaction after a disappointing defeat, regardless of how well or otherwise Hayes played we didn't win because we didn't take out chances.
We had all the possession and were comfortable in all areas all game although their scorer gave Harlee a tough few minutes.
Their goal was offside, we played good football with no end product, deserved to win and we'll play worse and win this
season so not shouting for Uwes head although hope he's still after a finisher.

Orient match reports

Cant remember hayes being in league team of the week, hope FARRIDS agent does not start touting him else where ,this is not good enough or consistent enough from ROSLER !

Orient match reports

if we had nicked this game 1-0 which wasn't beyond us tonight, no one would be making these comments..

But we didn't that's the point the outplayed opposition nicked the game and the manager made some debatable decisions to say the least. It's a fact of life that people are going to be dissapointed and ask some searching questions. The manager thinking Hayes had a good game is not the answer most who witnessed the game were expecting!

IF me auntie had bollox she'd be me uncle lol lol

its a big IF ;) we played well enough but i couldnt see us scoring if we'd played all night....some lovely approach play but once again the crosses were pretty terrible and the shooting its usual crap stuff....orient must be one of the worst sides in that division and yet they have the 3 points, theyres defo a problem there me thinks

And he has how long to sort that out? Bloody glad I stayed away from that tonight.

Orient match reports

Frustrating as we're getting close to being a very good side. Claytons first touch was dreadful at times tonight and I'm starting to lose patience with him. If a striker needed to be dropped tonight it was him not Farid, think hes been excellent in the games I've seen him so far. Hayes was dreadful, early days but no idea why we've signed him, lacks pace and doesn't seem to be a goalscorer either. Would take Alexander over him all day. Still abit of work to be done at the back but need another front man desperatly.

Orient match reports

Same old Brentford.
We control the first half and then it all goes to s**t in the second.I dont think on this sort of performance we will be looking at playoffs, mid table at best.As for keeping Hayes on for so long only Uwe can answer that. This is the same old Brentford we all get carried away and end up pi**ed off.Reality check again. If this continues then Uwe will not be around for long.

Orient match reports

Over all we played well tonight, ok ok we didnt score, but there is still 120pts to play for, dont panic we will be there or there abouts when it counts , have faith :sorted:

Orient match reports

Rather than saying Hayes was excellent to the cameras maybe Uwe shoulda taken a leaf out of the AS book of management and slated him and blamed him for the defeat. He should have said how he tells him what to do in training but he just wont listen and if he continues not to listen then he'll be unemployed and I'm so ****ing brilliant myself blah blah blah.

Seriously, Andy Scott and his Bruce Forsyth hairstyle was on a wind up tonight.

Orient match reports

Farid prob isn't fit enough for three games yet.neither is Hayes it Farid will play two to hayes's one. Donaldson had chances Ashe does and some go in but has to play f
As Farid and Hayes play the same role in the team.
Time to stop slating the players and manager . We are all dissapointed but sacking the manager won't help or happen and getin on players back also won't help.
Constructive criticism and opinions however are a different matter and what this forum is for

He had a finisher on the bench for 80 minutes FFS or has that point eluded you. Our form to date against the likes of Walsall, Yeovil and now Orient is not that of a promotion chasing side and Rosler has made some tactical faux-pas of the highest order thus far.

Dean header straight at the keeper, Dean shank out of the stadium when in the six yard box, Bidwell free kick well saved by keeper, Farid header over the bar, Foreshaw shot straight at a defender, Craig header over the bar (x2?)...

I'm not getting at your comment personally by the way, just putting these out there for all the Donaldson hate club. :)

My point was their can hardly be criticisms on the performance IMO, we outplayed them...

Orient match reports

Some strong reactions on here. These sorts of games happen, and come the end of the season we will be battling at opposite ends of the table. We were superior in every department bar putting the ball in the net. I worry about Donaldson, as we don't have a back-up with pace. Dean, Logan, Forshaw and Forrester all played well, and I thought Douglas had a good game. I actually didn't think Craig was too bad, and saw signs that the partnership with Dean is improving. We need to develop a winning mentality and be more clinical. Not panicking yet.

Scott I thought came across bitter; didn't want to say anything positive. How Rowlands was man of the match was beyond me, but guess you've got to pick someone on the winning team, though I would have thought their sub a better candidate.

No need to start swearing, no idea why Farid left out but he has also missed some gilt edged chances this season.
I rate Farid but the forwards between them scored 1 from 22 chances on Saturday so understand why he changed things.

Orient match reports

Donaldson lob and Hayes air kick from Forresters pull back were the two

Wasn't good tonight, Farid gave his all on Saturday and gets dropped, sorry I just don't understand what he see's in games. Sorry but he hasn't found a finisher yet in 18 months, so I'm not holding out much hope. I hope we get better but I can't see it under Rosler.

Orient match reports

I understand if people's concerns are that we aren't taking chances we create but you only need to look at the crewe game to see that we CAN do it. Bags of games left. I just don't understand how after that people can criticise the performance at all...

Orient match reports

To all the people banging on about it coming together the unfortunate fact is we have not played any of the promotion favourites and struggled against at best very average teams who won't be in the top ten!!!!

R*****s MoM is a joke but who cares, AS has become an arrogant, bitter man. We'll be top 6 and Orient won't

Orient match reports

At least we try to play football nowadays, and to be honest I've seen enough aimless hoofball since 1978 to last anyone a lifetime.
A deadly finisher is pretty much all we need now, until tonight I liked Donaldson, but his finishing is piss poor isn't it?

Not trying to be funny, I may have missed something but why wouldn't Farid be fit enough? I was a bit puzzled when Uwe said about the games coming up, and hinted he was basically rested. Its september ffs and they're professional footballers!
