OTT REACTION

Sorry to raise this, but does no one remember us losing 6-2 at HOME to Rovers this season, and they're as good as down.

This is a poor result and yes, Noad£s is in it for the money, but aren't we all over reacting slightly?

Until I see doom and gloom in black and white, I ain't gonna bitch about topics that are just speculation.

And people giving the management, players and owner - (well maybe not owner) a slating, is bang out of order.

Lets all get behind the team and the management - RN will not listen to a word that is said by the supporters, or respond to anything they do - he only listens to his bank balance. Hurting him financially won't help either, it'll only come back to kick us in the teeth.

It was only a few months back, that we could of made the playoffs, we weren't sh*t then, and we ain't sh*t now.

COME ON YOU BEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OTT REACTION

Aj, it is now time for action. We have sat back long enough expecting things to improve and now it is clear that will not happen. I am resigned to losing Lewi and the senior players but the situation cannot be allowed to carry on without direct action. We cannot allow a move to Woking, we cannot allow Noades to hijack this club.

OTT REACTION

what???????

in black and white?????

that old git will finish this club off and walk away very minted.
he has to be stopped and ALL bees fans in the know appreciate this.
please wise up before its too late!!!

1889 - ?????, the decision is down to ALL OF US................

OTT REACTION

If Ray Lew has gone or is going then I agree it is time for action. I think you can safely say the players have finally chucked in the towel!

Judging by that we've got a long future ahead of us.

Aj, wake up and smell the sh*t. We are deep in it and without direct action we are going out of business. Plain and simple,

This is not a slight on any player or the manager(I am totally behind the team) but on RN and his spend spend policy that has left us in the situation we now face.

Do you think Ron will publically announce his plans? Grow up. It will all be over by then -believe me.

Get behind the movement on the 22/5 at teh Princess Royal. It is critical to the future of our club.

OTT REACTION

sides have got to be taken i'm afraid AJ, and you should think very carefully about which one you are siding with.
this is a very dangerous time(especially preseason where anything he does he will get away with)and we must ensure that ronald knows what the genuine bees fans think of him and his operation.

ITS OUR CLUB not his.................

OTT REACTION

AJ the players made a statement tonight that we can support by voicing our anger towards the management of the club and the chairman. WE know that they can play better but do you give your best because some loud mouth halfwit screams at you or do you give your best when you are encouraged to by someone you respect.
Ron Noades doesn't care for Brentford any more than he cared for Wimbledon or Palace. His companies have made money from ground sales and from the expenses that the clubs he has been involved with have had to pay his companies.
So now its time for the supporters to speak with one voice. Don't think for one minute that we will survive by waiting patiently for Target 10,000 to bring the corwds back or for RN to feel that he could create a winning team by spending any money.
There will be gate of under 3,000 now every week unless the club passes to owners that will work with the core supporters and Bees United to engage the whole community.
Just think what the local council is going to see our beloved BFC as..... a sad relic of a once great First Division Club, a Club that conducts its relationship with the local Planning AUthority through the pages of its programmes and reports in the local newspaper, a club that promises to flash like a diamond and ends up each season like a dead sparkler or a glass of flat asti spumante, a club that owned its ground and was basically solvent to one that could be bankrupted at the whim of its creditors.

It is time to wake up and stand up, this is 1967 again and there aren't as many fans that care as before !

OTT REACTION

I don't think the reactions are over the top. We have conceded 6 goals twice this season and on neither occasion was Ray Lewington in charge of the team. On the first occasion, Ron's excuse - and I heard him say it, was that Bristol Rovers hadn't had a game on the previous Saturday, so it wasn't fair.

What's the excuse this time, Ron? No-one asked you to put a Wally in charge of the team.

NOADES OUT!!

With you best part of the way on this one AJ the Bee. Maybe just a knee-jerk reaction from the players and coaching staff after the Port Vale result last night. Not long ago everyone was ranting re a certain drubbing of Wigan at the JJB. The squad we have remaining at Griffin Park do not need the negative vibes sent out after tonights shocker, after all, all we have left is a squad that up until today, bar an excursion to south Wales, have given us good reason to be optimistic about next season. Lets get behind what we have. You Rrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeedssssssssssssss!

Hello? Is anybody in there? Are light lights switched off?

Missing the pint a bit i think, the way things are going there will be no squad next season. The thread of any optimism will be sold off.

Bully allowed to go cheap
Ray about to go cheaply
Next the players, evo, maho, rowo and the rest

Oh this is getting me depressed, if you cherish what you have you dont sell off the family silver!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll always get behind the team. But I won't ever support that ****** Wally Downes, or the person who is pulling his strings.

Jimbee, didn't you get a card through the post this morning! On your birthday as well. All i'm saying is the squad we have at the present is all we have. I for one would be one happy bunny if the news headlines tomorrow morning read' Noades and Downes elope to sunnier climes' and a money man came in to save our club INCLUSIVE of Ray Lew. Really mate i am trying to wake to the smell of coffee but just trying to be realistic and positive at the mo.

I can't help feeling that the outburst aginst Ron Noades is quite likely to trigger the very thing aginst which the protests are aimed. If you were in Ron Noades' shoes, the most compelling reason for dismantling the club might be that the few remaining fans are antagonistic to the owner and therefore no longer to be considered. Why would these protests be effective in staying Ron Noades hand from the deeds that are being predicted?

We are well on the way to the club's death, and the result last night underline this. The players obviously weren't up for it. The team we had out there tonight should have been good enough to get a result, not get done by quite possibly the worst team in the divison by 6. I have great respect for the 41 fans who travelled last night - incidently at certain points during the evening, there were more fans attending GPG (56) than at Swansea - I am sorry you all had such a sh*t game to watch and a sh*t journey home.

OTT REACTION

Just been looking up Swansea's website, and they have a good record agains the better sides in this division:

They have won against the following teams this year:

Peterborough (a)
Notts County (a)
Luton (h)
Stoke (h)+(a)
Walsall (h)
Wycombe (h)
Brentford (h)

They've also beaten Bournemouth and Reading in the LDV

A little consolation, I suppose

I think that there are some, myself included, who have tried to defend Noades, and tried to justify his actions, in the hope that we have been misguided in our information.
However, I have had enough of the mounting pressure that is just about reaching boiling point, and I no longer can find justification to Ron's actions.
However, something we must consider, is that is Ray Lew leaves, it is due to a better offer that we could not match. This is surely something that is out of Ron's hands, but this is something that could kill our club.
I cannot see one single reason why any of the players would now want to stay, and this simply eases Ron's path to strip our assets.
Had Ray Lew stayed, then we had a chance, but I have resigned myself to the fact that next season is going to pretty much mirror our last relegation season.
The only light I can see is if Ron appoints a big name manager, who will instantly command respect from the players, however, Mr Vialli has taken his post at Watford.

We've got to fight for our club, make it our own, and stick together. We must unite as fans to get rid of Noades. But essentially, we must not be defeatist, and be proud of our club. If we can remain positive for our future, then maybe that vibe will spread through the club also.
Bees forever!

OTT REACTION

I am not jumping on any bandwagons yet because all we have once again is speculation.
We have a message from pandora dated early jan that says lew and half the team will be gone by the end of the week.Well 5 months later and all these players are still at the club. he is claiming to have known all along and we should have listened. Well, as of today lew and all the players are still here and all we have is people claiming they will all leave. If ray does go, ok, but right now he hasn't nor has one player. We turned down offers for evo from millwall. All this pandamonium is again fuelled by mere speculation and people claiming inside knowledge (the same people who have claimed the same stuff for the last 12 months ie, noades and palace, of which none has come true)
Calm the f*** down and see what happens before we storm the barracks fuelled by nothing but rumour and chinese whispers.

This is not to say I wouldn't wave ron goodbye at the first attempt cos he has done little or nothing for us in two years, but lets be sure we know whats happenibg before we steam ahead.

WALLY OUT!!!!!! (something I do agree to in any eventuality)

So by showing our displeasure about Mr Noades being in control of our club it will affect the delicate flowers who are our playing staff...say ahhh

I understand from the players who finished their secondary school education, that they are able to distinguish between RON OUT & I say young man youre a pile of sh*t.

For god`s sake people our club is being taken to the cleaners to be reborn at Woking.

All you people who don`t attend the protest meeting on the 22/05/01 at the Princess Royal just think of how pleased the RN camp will be.

Once again, certain members of this board have jumped to the wrong conclusion. I think quite a few people have misunderstood my initial post.

Note, I did not mention pertitions / causes of action to remove Noad£s from the ownership of Griffin Park. - I certainly didn't say "don't" to any of your ideas, except hurting Ron financially. I can't see that hurting him financially can possible help, If people choose to remain away from GP / not buy season tickets, this can't possibly help our clubs financial position.

I agree with press coverage about the current state of the clubs debt etc.. and proposed ground move - we certainly don't want to be homeless. Organised protests may also be a good idea for the Bury match.

The "doom and gloom" mentioned that I wished to see in "black and white" also had no connection with the club going bust, but with Ray Lew's departure. I think that considering his departure had not been confirmed by any reliable sources, that I know of, at the time of my initial post, the speculation of certain doom were very pesimistic by many members of the board.

In short, I just hope none of you read the tabloids, cos god knows what your reaction to each days' stories are.

Direct action against that ****** Noades must start now.
The Brentford area has looked like a giant building site
for the last couple of years, a housing estate
or office block on Griffin Park are the only reasons
why Ron Noades ever showed any interest in our club.
Noades will KILL our club. Do not let it happen.
Demonstrate on the pitch during the games against
Luton and Bury!!

Your coarse obscenities do little to add credibility to your point of view. There is no reason why you cannot hold a different viewpoint to anyone else without resorting to vulgar and meaningless foul language. The purpose of a forum like this is for all of us to express his or her opinion not just you.

Agree with everything you've said- up until this week I was pretty optimistic that we'd be pushing for promotion next season (possibly even without buying anyone new, but as long as no-one left).

Unfortunately, I don't think next season will be anything like 97-98. Apart from going down (which didn't really come to anyone as a surprise) I quite enjoyed that season, the atmosphere was often really good, the crowds were higher and even though we had a team full of knackered old pros and raw youths who were generally not up to the task, we put in a pretty good fight and were a little unlucky in the end to go down (remember, we should have beaten Watford at home rather than losing).

The difference next season might be that we not only lose our best players, but that we will be managed by Downes. I fear that we will do far worse than Oxford this season, who despite the results have often put in something of a fight (lots of defeats by the odd goal in 5 or 7).

Even though they have John Beck at the helm, I might need to start watching my home town team in preference to the desecration of GP. It is actually quicker for me to get to as well.

Have woken up to the news on the radio about the demo at GP last night.

I am a little confused. In the two weeks since we were all looking forward to a major final the following has happened:

A poor display in the final followed by three further similar performances.

Our manager poached by a bigger club.

News of some progress on the new stadium.

No definite news of further players going.

A clear denial of any merger.

None of the above reflects badly on Noades so I can't see the sudden need for demonstrations now. The communications from the club yesterday seemed clear and relatively optimistic so why rock the boat now?

OTT REACTION

Cast your mind back to the days of Webb MB - I thought there wasn't any need for the demos either with him at the time but was proved very wrong.
To many people now with inside info don't trust Ron and it is time for him to move along before it gets any worse than it is.
