Our Support??

Sing like we're winning, and we will win like we're singing
Or sing like you just don't care, because the team obviously doesn't.
They do at the moment, so save that one for worse circumstances or apply it retrospectively to 06/07 ;)

Our Support??

All the people that sing in Ealing Rd should congregate together maybe, think most of the singers go just right of the goal at the back. We need to make GP a fortress, somewhere where teams hate go coem and get initmidated by the crowd.

Could they go just left of the goal please. I prefer right of the goal and need somewhere quiet - when I need noise and aggression I go home

Our Support??

Everyone should try to be loud cos I dont see point of standing there when people near you are singing

Our Support??

I think that when we leave we should be quiet and respect the neighbours, but when we are in the ground we should cheer as loud as we can! :computer: :computer:

Our Support??

Today was a morgue inside GP. :(

Them Stockport fans were superb with the vocal support they gave the team. The sort of noise never heard from Brook road upper (or lower) whilst we occupied that stand. Chanting throughout, I was envious!

Too many old moaners/disilusioned supporters (like myself) in Ealing Road to get an atmosphere going.

Infact, I'd go as far as to say turning up at GP for the last year or so has become more like a chore than something I enjoy...

Our Support??

The ground is definately quieter than I remember GP being for years. I can't work out whether it's because the acoustics in the ER Stand just don't allow a decent atmosphere to be produced or whether there's just a malaise hanging over the fans from last season. I think it's a bit of both tbh, certainly, having the misfortune of sitting in D Block, I'm surrounded by miserable old to55ers, who sit silently, save for the occasional moan about how sh1te they think we are.

Our Support??

I think I might have stumbled upon the reason. In the last year ;

Totally agree, they were a credit to their club..

Sang all game in unison, great banners, flags..almost made it look like they were a team from outside the UK...

Look like they had some 'chaps' too..fair play to them.

Our Support??

This is all very serious. As an ex-Brook Roader (right side) I like the space at Ealing Road and that you can get higher up and get a slighltly better perspective but the atmosphere has disappeared. Where's the singing we used to get in Brook Road, the unrelenting Red Army Red Army Red Army, the uuuuuuuuuuuReeeeeeeeeeddddds taken up and repeated over and over, the one about the celebrated G Taylor travelling to the vatican to visit the head of the catholic church, Hey Jude (Stockport did that one well yesterday). Is it that the extra space (partly because of the terrace size and partly because of the smaller turn-out) means we're less crammed together so more self-conscious? A bloke kept looking round at me yesterday just cos I kept shouting Come on Brentford (etc). If we'd been in Brook Road in the second half yesterday the final score might have been very different.

Our Support??

When all the "singers" were in Brook road, we could make an allmighty din, and the acoustics reflected the noise onto the pitch.

Also, a fair amount of that noise came from BRU. Trouble is now that the BRU folk who prefer to be seated are either spread around the ground (where the atmosphere is muted) or have stopped attending. OK, some BRU have folk have moved to Ealing road but at the moment, we are being well and truely outsung by smaller groups of visiting supporters.

I suspect that the acoustics in Ealing road are less favourable than BR and the sun in the eyes doesn't help matters either.

Another Brentford own goal ?

Our Support??

The atmosphere is sh*te as I'm not there to start it!!!!!!!!! Don't worry tho I'll be back by Xmas if my op happens in the next couple of weeks!!!!!!!!!

WEEEEE ARE BEES...... WE ARE BEES .......... WE ARE BESS........

Our Support??

Yesterday I listened to the game on BeesWorld, and yes you are all right. The Stockport fans outsung us. But then again they had something to sing about, didn't they.

Is that a joke comment? or by noise do you mean the crack of the pie crusts and the creak of the seat hinges tested by obese rears:confused:

I've never heard anything other than a wall of apathy from Brook road upper, the terrace did all the work.

As for Ealing road, 4 of my mates, all singers, left after the 3rd goal, we didn't bother getting in til bang on 3pm and throughout the game were more excited by the beers at half time then anything on the pitch. The apathy we see on the pitch is spreading to the stands.

There's no atmosphere anywhere, Gilham sounds bored, no build up, i.e decent songs, the brook road score boards turned off. All thes little things make it easier to lose focus and talk about music or holidays with your mates.

We're trying in Brook Road but there's no fun in flogging a dead horse.
When the team grows some balls we'll find our voices.:(

Went into Ealing Rd for second half yday

Poor, tried to start songs off and nothing

Yes. Actually as far as I remember our noise was quite good until the clown in black decided he was going to ruin the match in short order. The first 20 of the 2nd half was like a morgue, agree with an above post, but we didn't have anything to really shout about until Ide came on and livened things up down the right.

Our Support??

It's strange to be reading that our home support is quiet, in general our away support this season has been good

Our Support??

I haven't been away for a long time (I know I know, shame shame) but I suspect fans are less inhibited when they go away and determined to have a good time (and possibly a bit more pissed). Also there might be a sort of team spirit - we've come all the way to Darlington together to stand together and support our team together.

Our Support??

I'm disappointed that when PG's reading out the team sheets the first 4 or 5 players get a cheer then it fades out until by the time the strikers are read out there's no noise at all. Not exactly encouraging the players, is it?

Our Support??

Moribee, its not just down to Ealing road to make the ****in noise, maybe New road and Breamer should get off there ****ing ass! and give a little!

i agree, but I am a listener not performer and when I do get passionate I usually end up being confronted by someone in a tabard. Watching the passion of hate corner a few years ago made me feel very proud and Brook Road sounds good too. I dont think the Ealing Road has got the acoustics.

Our Support??

i was in ealing rd and at times it sounded loud- a shame to learn that it doesn't carry. as i wrote to the club pre season- 10 fans singing in brook rd echoes all round the ground. plus, you get your retinas fried on sunny days. oh well- i tried.

Our Support??

I thought we was alright in second half

Our Support??

I was in Braemar and to be honest theres nothing to shout about is there

Our Support??

When the players show some concerted effort, desire and passion to score, the fans get behind the side and sing their hearts out.

Our Support??

I went to just right of the middle ER on Sat.I thought the atmosphere was ok.Better than when Ive been on the left hand side. What did the support from ER sound like from other parts of the ground?
