Ok, a bit pissed. But .....

The time for opinion and conjecture about the season and the coming weeks is over in my opinion. Some on here are wobbling and some on here are having a got at the wobblers who are having a dig back and ..... it's not helpful.

I am a veteran of far too many posts on the GPG and sometimes this place annoys the **** out of me. Over the next few weeks, some lads who may be younger than your own children will be taking the field in various parts of the country to strive for what we all desperately want. Anyone who has played football will know that they will want it at least as much as we do and they are going to give everything they have on our behalf. And they need us fully behind them.

So for now, let's keep OUR focus too - whether we think we should have had more players, whether we think Will Grigg is the dogs or otherwise or whatever opinion we have is now entirely irrelevant - there is just one goal now and we're stronger together. Look at Orient - some of their supporters were throwing in the towel weeks ago and look what has happened to them - you reap what you sow.

Any Brentford fan can look at many dark times in our very recent history but now we are that close to an amazing achievement - let's not falter or doubt now - let's help this great club over the line.

Exactly. There's too much disillusionment on this forum. The last 10 games of any season always brings results against the grain. Clubs at the top have the jitters. Clubs drop what seem to be needless points. But, it's been a long season, players do tire, especially ones in only their first, second or third season. We've mixed it this season with experience. The first 10-15 games sees a club finding their feet and getting to grips with the playing system the manager wishes to employ. The next 20 or so should bring the wins to get you in a position for the run in. The last 10-12 matches are for grinding out results. Injuries and suspensions take their toll. If you're lucky, you may not get any, if you do, make sure you have a squad to back the first XI up. I believe we have the squad. We have the manager.

So, get to as many games as you can/afford. Support this lot to get over that line. There's no time for bickering or moaning. We have a squad of 20 or so players who wants this as much as we do. We have an owner that wants to taste Championship football again. We can do it. We just have to believe it ourselves. Stop all this Brentford innit crap. It's always Brentford that cocks it up. It's not. It just feels like it. We've done it before and we can do it again. We have 8 games to go. 12 points to gain. We can do it. Believe we can do it. It will happen. :bound:

Support today was excellent, was offered two free tickets outside the ground by a bees fan who had some spare but I declined as I could get 2 for the price of one anyway so two other lads got the bonus No effort to try and sell them just offered them for free. 4 points clear of the third placed team, with 2 games in hand , and 6 games left for Orient, is a pretty good situation to be in.
Pundits always say it is better to have points on the board rather than games in hand, but we are lucky enough to have both.

I fully agree, I felt the atmosphere at Orient helped the team massively, but atmosphere has been lacking a bit at GP. I would really like to see less complaining on the Terrace and a roaring Griffin Park! Cmon you bees!!!

For what it's worth, I think this messageboard is the perfect medium for letting off steam, whether positive or negative. However, on matchdays, particularly at Griffin Park we should all should be absolutely behind the team one hundred percent.
The Coventry game was really flat. A possible case of "after the lord mayors show" following that brilliant day at Orient, but no-one seemed interested in getting behind the lads, despite the efforts of those around me.

Good post mate, time for people to shed their inhibitions but not their Brentford shirts(we're not scummy Geordies) and leave every game hoarse.

Exactley, Those of us who are old enough to remember our Championship winning year in '91, will recall that we had a bit of a blip around the same time as now. We drew against relegation threatened teams and so on. Then, we won our last 6 matches culmiinating in the superb day out at Peterborough. History has a habit of repeating itself. We are a great team, probably in need of a bit of a breather, which is the reason for our current form, in my opinion.

Remember, Orient have to play Wolves and Rotherham have to go to Molineux. Everything is still in the mix. We are still the masters of our own destiny. We will be promoted this season because Brentford are a great side, I know it and you know it. The lads do not have anything to prove to us. Our job is to get down to GP and be the proverbial 12th man. Let's do it and cross the line together

That's what I don't get, they had 500 plus fans right behind them yesterday and to be able to post that was a bit crap isn't not supporting your team, very strange opinions on here methinks, I like to read people's thoughts but I also like reality, sorry but sitting at home telling people how to support your team whilst you are travelling back form a game we were playing is simply weird. They had excellent support yesterday, both in numbers and voice.

what are you on about.....yennaris hasnt had any stick.....if grigg has, hes bought that on himself by being completely useless for most of the games hes played in....when he finally turns up and puts a proper centre forward performance in i'll be the first to congratulate him.....probably be a long time coming though unfortunately running around not doing that much isnt going to get us up im afraid
