Didn't see much of the pitch. It was being cut and the little bit that you saw looked good.

What was the programme about ?

[Herbert]

What was the programme about ?

the double dip recession, titled "are we going back to the 70s"

What was the programme about ?

The pertinent part of the programme was illustrating the obscene wages professional footballers are paid at the top level which means it is no longer a sport where the public are able to relate to the players - the suggestion is that sort of player/fan relationship is only possible at the level BFC is at, and below - although if some of 'guesstimations' on the GPG of what some BFC players earn are anywhere near correct it may be that may soon also change !!

Blimey, stands look empty... who were we playing that day?

[Glenisterbee]

I went to the ground yesterday and the pitch looks absolutely amazing. The groundsman has done an unbelievable job. Its emerald green and i bet the players are itching to get out on it. Roll on the 21st August.

Yes that's what Panorama was trying to say ..... however I don't think anyone would have bothered looking into into actual wages (still tiny in comparison to Premiership, though) - the traditional "old fashioned ground" at good old GP as opposed to the mega stadioms of Premiership was what made the visual point , what better choice to show how footall grounds used to be? (And nearness to BBC studios probably swung it!) .

the double dip recession, titled "are we going back to the 70s"

Yes please!! Can we have The Royal Oak back please?

[Thorne In The Side]

What was the programme about ?

It was about the ingrained racism that is inbedded in Griffin Park.
Sol Campbell was walking around the forecourt telling people to stay away and it was no place to watch football.
