Parking

Hello All,
I have managed to get some tickets in the North Stand for Southampton at home and was wondering where is the best place to park given that I cant walk very far and am travelling down from Yorkshire on the day of the Game? First Visit to Lionel Road so I am completely in the dark:bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce:

You could try the clubs parking option in Capital Inter change Old Citeron Site , this is good some steps but mostly level ground , think you will have to walk round the ground to the North Stand entrance , don’t think theres one off Capital Interchange into the North Stand , there’s not much else that doesn’t mean a 15 to 20 min walk .

A little bit away , try the Health Centre in Boston Manor Rd , very shot walk to Brentford Station , one stop the Kew Bridge

Looks like only Chiswick Park available on official parking site - that is a bit of a trek to be honest and I would say unsuitable for those with mobility issues.

Do you have a Blue Badge @YorkBee - if so, I would e-mail the club and see if they can assist. You will have seen from a couple of previous threads there is not much near to ground parking so per a suggestion above, worse case scenario park on the 65 route and use that.

Just out or curiosity how did you managed to get tickets for the Southampton game? This as far I am aware not yet been sold to members.

Wellesley road you normally get lucky, depends how far down you have to go

Parking

Or park in multi-storey in Dock Road opposite Morrisons, cross road to bus stop, drops you outside Kew Bridge Station.

Parking

are the buses all Oyster card or can you pay another way?

They sold season tickets for the Citroen site for non blue badge holders.

Parking

There are 11 spaces available outside the ground to blue badge holders. You can book one 2 weeks before the game on a first come first served basis. You need to register your badge with the club and then the option to buy comes under the parking tab on the ticketing site.

Last time I looked at TfL website, local (to yourself) concessionary travel card is acceptable. As long as you have/qualify for one.

Yes, my Mum uses her Sussex one on the bus in London

there will be fans more disabled than me, I can manage short distances with a stick so I wont take up a blue bay spot if there are more in need.

Cheers that makes things easier can park by Kew Gardens near the station and do the traditional route I always used 65 bus over Kew Bridge (y)
If you want to reduce your walk, you can park a bit further away in The Avenue where there’s a bus stop each side of Kew Road.

that is where I was planning to park

What the one with a big sign outside saying I AM NOT A CAR PARK
? spot on GG. But when you park in there with all the ‘parked cars’ there is a facility to ‘pay for parking’. A bit of a contradiction but I guess they want to keep us football riffraff out and save it for their patrons.

Balls, so are the club going to give ALT parking options for the remaining games? i have parking booked for all the remaining games
I've only been told about blue badge holders, but I assume they will try and sort something out

It was just a gag cos we get a lot of random "Brentford fans" on here asking for tickets

in the 70's even just saying you were a brentford supporter got you labelled as "random" :ROFLMAO:

The Coach and Horses, just the other side of Kew Bridge, has a biggish car park round the back. It’s for patrons only of course but that’s a good excuse for a drink there!

Parking

Plenty of free street parking past main entrance to Kew Gardens towards Richmond then get 65 bus. Alternatively park in Old Deer car park opposite the Pools and again 65 from Richmond Station. Not sure on costs and time restrictions though in car park.

There’s free parking by Brentford station. PM me.

Once you get to Lionel Road, you can ask one of the very helpful kids (they're kids to an old bag like me) to take you to your entrance by wheelchair if you need it. It's a brilliant service provided by the club for people like me as I walk with two sticks. I can walk it if my knees aren't too bad but most of the time, I just can't manage it quickly and I'm always late. ?‍♀️

Im going to plump for either the Avenue, or Ennerdale Road and get the 65 just for the memories. Am going to pop into the barn church and pay my respects to my dad who would have 100 3 days ago and his ashes are interred in the grounds of the church

I forgot. I usually park near Kew Gardens but sometimes I park on Syon Lane (or the side streets off it) which is free and get the bus opposite the park or on South Ealing Road near the Ealing Park Tavern which is free on Saturdays.

The bastards in the side streets opposite Syon Park have taken to putting bins in the road.
It’s illegal and should be stopped. It won’t be because the wardens are too busy handing out notices to people illegally parked. Probably that’s why they haven’t done something about it!
Any later than an hour and a half before kick off and you’ve sod all chance of parking there

Really? Oh right. I don't park there that often but I'll remember or the future. That's sh*tty behaviour. When I lived in Fulham (I know but it was my brother's council flat and all I could afford at the time) people put their bins in the roads outside the private houses on Ch*lsea match days. Bloody annoying for residents as well as illegal.

This thread got me thinking as one of the 50 odd that have a Season Parking Ticket at Lionel Rd School I thought I would ask what is going to happen for next season

Brentford are going to be releasing there seasonal match tickets around the middle of June. As the Official Parking Partner, we will follow in line with this date and release the seasonal parking tickets at the same time.

Apologies I couldn't give yourself a more exact date.

That's correct, as a current season ticket holder - we will be in contact when the seasonal parking passes go on sale.
