Pat O'Connor RIP

I received a text from Kevin O'Connor earlier today letting me know that his Dad, Pat had passed away last Sunday.

I spent many hours chatting to Pat over the years. He was very proud of his boy Kevin and watched just about every game Kevin played for Brentford from when he was a junior until his last game in the red and white striped shirt.

The funeral is at St.Bernadettes Church, Hillingdon next Friday at 10.30.

RIP Pat - you were a good man.

In the far distant past I spoke to Pat in the Beehive/Stripes bar after one of the games. Came across as a real gentleman and certainly was proud of Kev's record with the Bees. My sincere best wishes to Kev and all his family for their sad loss.

Very sad to hear this, first met Pat at Barrow away and had a great chat with him.

The third son is Damien and, as you say fencer, Pat was immensely proud of all of his children and rightly so. They are an absolute credit to Pat and to their Mum Sheila. They are cut from the same cloth - always respectful and polite, always smiling and always ready to chat - particularly if it is about football.

My sympathies to all the family. RIP Pat. You'll be missed.
