Paul Watson back ?

Having seen the goals from the other night Paul Watson popped with a goal. I thought he was a good left back for us and should be playing better football. Since he is left footed and a left back does anyone think it would be a good move to sign him again ? He is also still young

What's more, he can play right back too (as he did at Fulham). He is exactly what we need right now. But do you seriously think he would want to come back? Even if he could be convinced that the management thought he could do a good job, he will remember the disgusting abuse he got from the stands.

he is exactly what we don't need now. how can he be any better than Michael Dobson. Dobbo would benefit greatly from a run in the first team. Getting someone in, in the short term, won't benefit anybody.

We've got a squad of 33. What's the point of having these players if they can't play in emergencies. Are they for the future??? What's the point, if they'll never be trusted to play.


Watson is big pants.

I agree re Dobson. He`s impressed me every time i`ve watched him and i cant understand why he cant get a game with our injury crisis as it is.

Lorenzo should also get a proper chance cos of all the injuries. I still havent made up my mind about him, he needs a run of games up front not just 10 minutes here & 5 minutes there. He`s scored 4 in last 2 games for the stiffs yet was still overlooked on Tuesday night when Lloyd went off.
Let him start 3 or 4 games with Mac!

Entirely agree with above, if we cannot give one or two youngsters a chance at this time we never will. Watson was OK but became a target for some fans abuse ( although I never understood why) it would be pointless bringing him back now.

Ron said last week that he would not bring anyone in unless they were better than we already have at the club, so I think that is the Watson question answered.

I agree with giving the youngsters a go but I feel that if the injury to Gibbs is a long one then are not throwing them in at the deep end. It is alot of pressure for the younger players

I think that we've already seen what Watson can do & to quote The H it was "Big pants". To me he was one of the biggest let downs of our relegation season.
