Pead riddle solved!

Apologies if I've put this in the wrong thread, but I've finally uncovered the mystery of how Craig Pead was named in the League Two team of the season.
According to my sources in the West Midlands it all stems from that game at London Road where we were spanked by Peterborough.
After each game the players from opposition teams are asked to name the opposition's Star Man.
Pead's former team-mates at Walsall Chris Westwood and Dean Keates nominated him because he had an absolute stinker and contributed to the rout.
The mischievous pair then spread the word to every team Posh played against to vote for Pead as Brentford's man of the match.
Seems a bit cruel really as Pead was a really nice bloke, but I'm sure they had their tongues firmly planted in cheeks when they did it and there was no malice intended.
So there you have it...mystery solved.

although pead was very disappointing to say the least - if this is even vaguely true it strikes me as a bit 'unprofessional' and westwood has got some neck, because if you're to be judged on one game then he was sh*tus asolutum (that's latin Jim) at our place lol

I did wonder, seeing as he wasn't even our 1st choice RB. Still, if he gets a decent move & a fresh start then perhaps he'll be having the last laugh?

I'd say so too. It has to be a wind up of some sorts and this kind of makes some sense. These "jests" to make a mockery of a systematic vote have a habit of escalating. Wasn't there a Census not long ago where "Jedi" was quoted by thousands of people as their religion. A few footballers joining in this one is entirely possible.

Think Jim Levack may have cracked this one. Might have done us a favour though if someone can take the double player of the year off our hands so Sssshhhhhhh everyone about this.
