Persistent BEES UNITED Knocking

I am not always in agreement with BEES UNITED and the committee, but we have got to stop the constant sniping.

It is very sad that we couldn`t get half a dozen retired fans to do the admin for BU, but we couldn`t move on. John Mc is now being payed and I hope he will take some of the strain off the rest of us.

The questions being asked are valid, but there seems to be no element of understanding the situation from John Mcs view. I do not think he is feathering his own nest or going easy on Hargraves I feel he is doing what he thinks is right to gain Lionel Rd.

A BU open meeting is being organised for early April, lets constuctively ask questions then after you have heard hopefully more good news on Lionel Road.

I do think BU make mistakes but I do feel that especially PJ, they have our clubs survival at the forefront of all decisions.

I know some people are unhappy with BU, fine, but the vehicle is not broken, maybe it`s the drivers and if you are not happy stand for the committee or get actively involved.

It hurts me to see the constant criticism of our supporters trust and I think we should sometimesw accept they are not perfect and move on.

I to want GH and the directors out of the club, but is all about timing, lets cut BU some flack. Whether we like it or not BU is our future.

Big Bad Bee H here !

Sorry Bish and a few others but where is the "constant criticism" of Bees Utd ?

I am asking questions, what's wrong with that ?

If I was a first poster coming on to the GPG, I would think BU was hiding info from fans and that JM is in cahoots with the BFC board to sell GP.

I just wish you would have stayed on the committee, as I personally feel you would offered a lot and would have been able to put the BU point of view across quite effectively on the GPG. Before you start I know why you resigned, I am just dissappointed it got to that.

I am just concerned that your questions come across as criticism rather than questions. It`s all about perception.

It may take a few elections, but we will get the right people on the committee, but before that happens lets all promote BU and work together to gain Lionel Rd.

I also think ten people would keep up with all your questionslol

Sure yould be happier if the knockers cut BU some 'slack' rather then the 'flack';) :)

Seriously though a point well made. BU ain't perfect but they've made giant strides for us the poor bloody fans and have begun to make progress towards saving his beloved club of ours. As Bish said by all means ask constructive, well thought out questions which stimulate democratic debate but pay the BU guys the respect they deserve. It's still a long road but we are making progress!!!!

And no Bee H this isn't aimed at you of course you're entitled to ask the questions that you do:wave: don't get paranoid on us now!!!

Bish points well made and I agree 100% (now theres a thing!!!).

As someone who regularly gets on this board and reads the posts (and occasionally puts one up!) I can only say that from my viewpoint both ex BU committee members do come across as sniping for the sake of it - yes I know they raise valid points but thats how it seems and unfortumnately when you throw mud it sticks unfounded or not.

One last thing I don't think that GPG is the vehicle for BU Q&A sessions - after all not all members use it...and BU do have an email address so perhaps questions raised could be published along with answers in the BU bulletins

Sits back and counts to 10...

It is not a anti-BU knocking session. Some people on here have genuine concerns regarding the suitability of certain others to lead the change necessary when we take over. Some struggle to understand as to why direction has changed. We now have a 'love-in' with The Tea Boy and others whilst seemingly forgetting the part he amongst others played in ruining our club and running up the debts. Why is that? What has/is happening behind the scenes?

Can anyone really trust The Tea Boy to work with BU rather than against it? After all this is the muppet who only last week nearly fu*ked EVERYTHING up, why did he do that? I would like to know. Although I suspect he didn't realise because in business terms he is quite simply stupid. He is out of his depth. He complains about people talking about his salary but fails to realise that by accepting a directorship it becomes discloseable, did he not realise this? Of course not, he is simple/naive in such matters.

Putting aside my feelings or lack of them, do you honestly think that a lender would want to work with any of our directors given the less than impressive way they have handled our affairs over the last four years? Should Lionel Road come off, we are talking about a multi-million pound project, would you trust that to The Tea Boy or anyone else presently on the Board?

They have failed to achieve anything in terms of a new ground over the last four years, what makes anyone think they are capable of aiding what will remain a major challenge for years to come?

I know I will be accused of speaking cryptically again and I do apologise but the intended recipients of this message will understand, they are aware of what I brought to the table and the fact that I continue to work for the single aim of saving BFC. Can the same be said of the present Directors?

Good intentions will not alone be sufficient to save BFC, astute business skills are needed, they are available why are we not using them?

Keep the faith

Accepted.

But if BU addressed these questions once in a while I think everyone would be happier. Even a "we hear you, have taken your questions on board. We can't answer all of them right now but thank you for your concern and hopefully things will resolve positively" isn't that hard to write (they could cut-and-paste the above!).

And a more detailed conversational PM to abee and Bee H, who are (in their own modest views) master businesmen with salient advise to offer would probably do everyone good.

I am of the belief that Bees United hold an answers and questions forum in a pub before every home match - a kind of surgery type thing.
I'm sure John Mac is around for most of them - can someone confirm?

Persistent BEES UNITED Knocking

Spot on Ricko. Coming to talk to us personally is the best way to get answers to the things that really concern you.

Upstairs in the Griffin before every Saturday home game - ask at the info point outside if you need to be shown how to find us.

Ricko

Following on from Edmundo's post, I will answer more fully, and address some of the other issues!

Bees United surgeries were set up, before and after games, at the White Horse last season. Apart from people already involved with helping out in one way or another nobody bothered coming.

It was therefore decided, although I admit I wasn't in full support, to move them to the function room at the Griffin, where there has been very little improvement. However, they are still being held, although I've not been able to attend more than once so far.

As regards the unanswered questions on the GPG about the management and policy of Bees United I will apologize. However, I don't feel some issues should be discussed by Bees United on an independent messageboard, although all users are free to speculate of course. Bees United has its own web site, where members are invited to contact us. There is an e-mail address for every board member, plus our postal address, and our phone number.

People may feel we're being discourteous, but I would argue the same. I know Bees United people have tried to answer questions in some cases, but it isn't something I want to encourage.

There are some very sensitive issues being dealt with right now, and I hope it isn't necessary to say that releasing information as demanded on the GPG may not be in the best interests of the club or the supporters.

Persistent BEES UNITED Knocking

I think that's fair enough Mr Mac.
Maybe you could set a date in stone (maybe next home match) to book the room in the Griffin and make yourself available for those that feel the need for certain questions to be answered.
Then, if nobody turns up, you can't be accused of not making an effort.

okay !

I am more than happy to be at the Griffin before the Northampton match. In fact, Bees United have issued a special invite to supporters from D Block to the surgery that day. There will also be a film crew making a documentary for Malaysian TV who will be interviewing Bees and Cobblers fans outside the Griffin as well. Could be a busy day!
