Peter Crouch

Nope. Nor me. First I knew of the Crouchmeister being a former Bee. But Wikipedia seems to back this up. Can anyone help Dorothea?

Peter Crouch

Think Peter Crouch was an under 12/14 here. Not a youth team player.

Peter Crouch

I think the only sort of person with access to good quality video cameras in 91-93 who was using it to film 12 year old boys has probably had it confiscated a long time ago.

Peter Crouch

He may have had a trial with us but then again so did Rod Stewart
According to Wiki he was part of the youth set up between 1991-93 so too long for a trial. But as I've just noticed he was born in 1981, he would have been 10-12, so Noddy probably never considered him seriously for the squad at Peterborough. :D

Did he? No one apart from Rod Stewart seems to know anything about it, where or when. I know exactly where every football trial I had took place even if I can’t remember the date

I think Rod Stewart and Peter Crouch have probably had a number of very big experiences which make precise recall of a trial for us many decades back hard.

Mate, no one who doesn’t make pro footballer forgets any serious trial they are invited to. I remember every district, county and club trial I ever had and so would most people whose dream was to be a footballer.

I think becoming one of the top selling musicians probably tops it. But you might be right if you reveal in fact you are also an A list musician and spent hours backstage at Live Aid kicking yourself for not squaring the ball to your strike partner when trialling for Barnet U12s in 1976.

Anyone remember Gordon Ramsey sharing that he was a professional and just about to make his debut for Rangers when he broke his leg. Turns out he had a trial at 15 and wasn’t kept on, I suspect Rod played at Gunnersbury park once against a team from Brentford and embellished like Ramsey

Peter Crouch

There’s a photo of his Brentford centre of excellence ID in his autobiography.
Strange. I've read that but don't remember it. Will have to have a re-browse. :sorted:

Peter Crouch

He’s had a few out so it’s the first book he did.
I have two. "How To Be A Footballer" And "I-Robot", which I think were books 1 and 2? I'll have a browse. I remember thinking what an entertaining bloke he is when I read them. A rarity for ex-QPR.

Horseferry Road, Bow Street and several others.

Especially as he was only 6' 2" then.

Peter Crouch

Either that or our injury list is worse than we thought

Peter Crouch

He’s very QPR.

Also, his podcast is mostly sh*t and full of ads now.

Peter Crouch

Cover for Ivan FINALLY signed

Happy now @magicbees ?

That’s some skill balancing those weights on his head there.

As for Crouch, he’s obviously forgiven us for the shouts of “freak!” every time he touched the ball in the cup replay in 2005.
