Peter Scott RIP

My father Peter passed away peacefully this morning after a 2 year battle with cancer. He was a true Bee who travelled to many a northern craphole with Push Up Brentford and Ronnie Jacobs. The Bees were his passion and he took me to my first game when I was 5. He kept on going to GP even up to a couple of months ago despite the ravages of chemo and this cruel disease. I will always treasure the time I spent with him, he simply was the best father and grandfather anyone could have wished for. Home games won't be the same without my best friend.

RIP to another true supporter. My condolences to the family.

RIP Peter, congrats on converting your son who will now carry on our brilliant tradition.

Peter Scott RIP

Best wishes to you and the family.
Although we joke about the years of mediocrity supporting BFC, I couldn't be anything other than BFC and thank my previous generations for dragging me to GP.

Peter Scott RIP

Condolences and best regards to you and your family.
RIP Peter.

Another wonderful warm tribute to a Bee - RIP Peter.

Some of these tributes to loved ones are beautiful and heartfelt and it would be great if the OP or a Mod could transfer the initial post (with permission) to the Never Forgotten thread so we have an enduring legacy - a virtual memorial garden.

Peter Scott RIP

My sincere thoughts and condolences to all Peter's family members and friends.

Moving words, Rhino, I'm sure your Dad was so happy that his son shared his passion, not many things more satisfying for a parent than that, I'm sure. Condolences on your loss.

Thanks everyone for your kind words, they really are greatly appreciated. It's nice to know we all have an extended BFC family in times of need. Dad was proper old school and wouldn't have wanted a fuss made. But when you have had such a loving, generous father you want the world to know how much he means to you.

He loved our recent success in the championship going to "big clubs" and turning them over. But I secretly think he missed places like Hartlepool, Carlisle and Oldham. His favourite away day was Rochdale, I'm sure just because him and Ron went to the Gracie Fields museum pissed.

Your Dad had good taste. Rochdale is indeed one of football's great away days.

I've copied some of the more recent RIP messages to the thread mentioned.
