Play-off Tickets
Any idea about how the allocation of these will be decided? Presumably numbers will be limited to less than 100% capacity. What should be the criteria, for home, away, and if we make it, the final?

There will be about 4,000 tickets for the home game and none for the away game.
I suspect TAPs will come into play - that’s what they’re for.
Surely the ticket arrangements from before the last lockdown continue as we are in the same season.
Quote - 'We understand you booked tickets for our game against Reading on Saturday, 19 December, unfortunately, you will not be able to attend this game. You will get first option on tickets for the next league match open to fans.'
I really hope they meant this to exclude Cup games. Not that they'll go back to the top of the list again or come up with another method for deciding who gets to go!
I was at the Blackburn game so would've thought that those of us who were at that and the Derby game would be lower in the list. Those who had their tickets cancelled when the last lockdown started probably have the strongest case? Otherwise just get the the most vocal, gobby supporters in.
Indeed - one thing you can absolutely guarantee is there will be people up in arms whichever way they are allocated ?It’s a different competition and therefore ST holders don’t have priority, as they did for league games that were open to supporters previously. Blackburn, Derby and Reading (which supporters didn’t get to go to).
There is one problem that has arisen though. Premium ST holders seem to have in their T’s & C’s guaranteed access to the home play off match. Now that could be an issue!
Nothing is known yet as nobody really knows what will be the number allowed inside a stadium.
As hobbsy says, everyone has to wait until May when news will be announced after these test events have taken place.......
Whatever way is agreed, it’ll be an issue to some.![]()
I don't think this is an issue as the club haven't been taking direct debits. There is one problem that has arisen though. Premium ST holders seem to have in their T’s & C’s guaranteed access to the home play off match. Now that could be an issue!
It's not as straight forward as that, could be more, could be less.
Meeting with the club this week but we may not get updated government guidance until early May.

Do we know how many premium ST holders we have? I’m not a premium ST holder, but I would have thought that even in a season like this if it’s stated in their t&c it would be tricky not to honour tbh.

Easy answer: Brentford announce "a special invitation to the celebration of Thomas Frank's season as the most successful post-war Brentford manager and viewing of the play-off semi-final hosted by Mathias Jensen"... that'll sort them out.Based on Twitter .. this might not be the best idea![]()
Also, only the yellow seats will be sold. If that combination doesn’t weed out a lot of demand to limit it to complete loyalists I don’t know what will!Easy answer: Brentford announce "a special invitation to the celebration of Thomas Frank's season as the most successful post-war Brentford manager and viewing of the play-off semi-final hosted by Mathias Jensen"... that'll sort them out.
Premium ST holders have, I believe, only paid a deposit? Therefore, their T’s & C’s shouldn’t come into the equation.![]()
It’s such a strange scenario because those that have the most loyalty points got priority, but might end up not going to the bigger game (playoff semi ). They would likely have chosen that over the two!
Equally, those who had a ticket to go to the Reading game would have been disappointed and feel they are next in line.
Whoever is prioritised, I think everything should be reset for the final (should we get there) and TAP should be in place at Wembley.

Assuming TAPs aren’t used for the semi final then that seems fair. Don’t think it would be fair to have the same 4000 at both games (even though it would suit me personally).
On a different note, would there be an appetite to watch a beam back of the away leg in the bowl?
We could probably have more than 4,000 in those circumstances.

Yes please! Why would we be allowed more?On a different note, would there be an appetite to watch a beam back of the away leg in the bowl?

Why? If we were talking about two successive over-subscribed cup games it would be same 4,000.
These aren’t league matches included with the ST package
Watch in the pub instead. As no doubt those without tickets will be doing. Madness. On a different note, would there be an appetite to watch a beam back of the away leg in the bowl?

So you think the people going to Wembley should be from around 8,000th in the TAP list?To me it’s straight forward , continue on the same method that was being used. The first game the options go to those that were selected for the Reading game. The only extra riders I would put in , a) two covid vaccine been had or b) negative COVID test within the last 2 days ( this could change , I base it on the isolating period )
If we are lucky to get to the final fans numbers may increase , but continue to the next group of fans

I think you've successfully pointed out the absurdity of that suggestion. The point has already been made that holding an ST for whatever period of time is irrelevant when it comes to tickets for matches not covered by STs. It's harsh, but I think TAPs have to be used, with the same people getting priority for the home semi and (if applicable) the final. So you think the people going to Wembley should be from around 8,000th in the TAP list?

6000th, surely
Er. I wouldn’t be too hasty if I were you! But I meant 4000th for the semifinalI love it when you are wrong and you are wrong here.
2k v Blackburn
2k v Derby
4K v play off team
So 8k down for Wembley
The cheers were muffled by our masks.Judging from the polite applause when we scored against Blackburn, probably not the ones who had the tickets for that one.

I brought my own. Cheese and pickle. And the prawn sandwiches.
