The League 1 final will be the finale to the 2005/2006 season according to...

he Coca-Cola Football League Play Off Finals will be split at the end of the 2005/06 Season to accommodate the call-up period for the 2006 World Cup Finals.



The dates for the Finals are:



Sunday May 21 - CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

Saturday May 27 - LEAGUE 2 FINAL

Sunday May 28 - LEAGUE 1 FINAL

NB: ALL FINALS ARE SCHEDULED TO BE PLAYED AT WEMBLEY STADIUM.

PLAY-OFF SEMI-FINALS
NB Dates at this stage are provisional and indicative only. Firm dates will be arranged at the end of the season.

Championship

1st Legs - May 6/7

2nd Legs - May 9/10



League 1 and 2

1st Legs - May 13/14

2nd Legs - May 16/17

thanks, that is a late 1 isnt it. I cant think of any players in our division who might be going to the world cup. There is that 1 for Port Vale, I am not sure they will be in the playOffs. As a side note, 2 friends of mine are getting married on World Cup final day!

Owusu can get in the side, surely if he does well. Maybe Nelson should be called up, looking at the quality of our current keepers (although I saw in the program that the stockport keeper, thought he was the best in the world). Even though it sounds stupid, remember David James was in the squad once...

Is there another thread on this? The final isn't the Sunday as Trandy says, it's now on Saturday the 27th.

According to my research, the Final at Cardiff is on SUNDAY 28th MAY.

The First Division Semi Final 1st Leg is either Thursday/Friday 11th/12th May.
The First Division Semi Final 2nd Leg is either Sunday/Monday 14th/15th May.

I hope they make their minds up soon though as I am having to plan trips abroad and meetings around these dates..

It is vitally important that I find out the truth :cry: My grans 80th on the Saturday, which means hot footing it from Cardiff to Swindon instead of getting ****ed with my mates and celebrating promotion :sad:

Well not according to my sources. Beginning to wonder now.

So which dates are correct for the play off semis?

BBC 13 and 16 May

or

Football League 11/12 and 14/15 May

I suspect the BBC have got it wrong as they quote the same dates for League 1 and League 2 play-off semis

They both state the final is on Saturday 27 May

Football League seem the more likely as Sky will want all games on different days to allow maximum TV coverage

Let's just hope we're sitting at home as fans of a promoted team watching teams 3-6 battle it out
