Why do people get dramatic about the dramatics though? The drama queens acting like a bird are half the fun on here. It is cos they are passionate innit.
I wish more of the silent voyeur lurkers would post though please. Maybe the gpg could organise something to encourage them to get involved? Maybe a special thread for first timers with no heckling allowed? Do these 0 posts people ever vote in the MotM & other polls I wonder?

Disappointed with the number of respondents, to be honest. Only been 3. NB and Maddogging say go (shouldn't underestimate the impact of male jealousy because of my handsome looks) and Les who didn't indicate which way he swings (on this issue).

Me too. I work with a bees season ticket holder who just reads the gpg & has never posted. How can we encourage & ease these people in gently to replace all the good people who have quit? Many banana could advertise on the back of buses?

ditto, my colleague's an s.t merchant as well. he claims that it's not that he can't be bothered to sign up, but he thinks the gpg has a "detrimental and corrosive effect on brentford f.c" and cites abee's claiming that posts on the gpg have driven him out as proof. he says that he is "not reading as a participant but as an observor of the negative anti bfc rubbish". when he was ranting about rebus's little tantrum i thought he was actually going to burst a blood vessel!

Having stood next to Pipe & endured/enjoyed his musings for more years than I care to remember, I can assure GPGers that this thread is untypical of the man.

What I do miss on here is what seems to be the reduced input from female members in recent years (e.g. YBG, Claire), which often balanced threads up & made us guys behave nicely.

I’ve recently completed my second VPB and don’t really have the same passionate desire to start a worthwhile discussion knowing full well that certain groups will either support each other to ride out any controversy or use the opportunity for mocking just to bump up their personal posting totals. :rolleyes:

Thought of using the “3 and out rule” next time and maybe switch to a National Football Supporters Forum instead but as I’m fed up with FIFA, FA , Premiershite and will complete my 50th full BFC season in May, it just might be the Landmark time to say, “Sod the lot, I don’t care anymore”. :sad:

One thing some need to get to grips with is there will always be different viewpoints depending on which side of the fence you stand, that doesn’t mean they should be belittled or cast aside without reason or understanding, opinions are not an exact science although they may be shared. :thetruth:

I don't post a lot but do find the GPG fascinating, humorous, occasionally boring but overall great reading. I am glad The Pipe is staying and if he gets fed up with some of the comments he should just consider that it is a wonderful insight into human nature and reap the benefits of such insight into the thought processes of fans of the greatest club in the world which plays the greatest game in the world. :):wave: COYR
