If you had told me after the Dagenham Debacle that by early April we would be:

Cup finalists at Wembley
Talking of a possibility of the play-offs

I would have disbelieved you.
Disappointment after Sunday but Hey! so much better than where we were heading with AS.

Thankfully the game wasn't too exciting so I didn't need to worry about my very heavily preggars girlfriend dropping early due to the excitement!

Fantastic day! My three Grand National horses, none of whom won, are presumably still alive.

Martin Allen did his prospects of getting the Brentford job no harm again today. :sorted:

Brentford lost today, which means our season has been ended nice and quick - and painlessly. No dragging it on until the end of the season with a will-we-wont we reach the play-offs, only for the team not to turn up for the final game a la JPT.

And a few of Brentford's less gifted signings by AS are playing their way out of the club.

All in all, plenty to be positive about. Now let's have a big smile. :D

There's so many good reasons to feel positive and so few or no reasons to be negative. I take great comfort in the knowledge that BFC is in safe hands and being lead by experienced, passionate personnel who have an overriding desire to play so called 'sexy football' but at the same time being totally realistic on how we achieve the long term success we all crave. The feel good factor seems to have galvanised everyone's hopes and desires going into the new season and why not feel optimistic and rejuvenated as us the supporters can act as that 12th man on the pitch and we all can have a collective input by being right behind the team on match days both home and away. I believe I have just had a gush...... but hey who cares after supporting the Bees for 40 years I reckon I deserve a little gush here and there!

have not felt this positive about a new season in the way i am now, everybody is positive, players and fans, and i have no fears as regards the so called big teams we have in this division, most of them have lost players and not signed many to replace, we have the same spine of the team with some very positive new signings, i went to bedfont on sat to see the kids and the football they played was very good, ball to feet, no hoof, the future is very bright, cannot belive the difference in 8 weeks or so.
we will score goals this season, but we will also have to grind out results against teams who will defend for fun, roll on yeovil.

Really looking forward to both Sheff Utd and Exeter away. Two very decent deals on the train and that wonderful feeling of all football fans at this stage....... Is this going to be our year? I last saw us at Bramall Lane nearly 30 years ago when just a boy and the first time i went to Exeter we won seven one! Have tried not to miss it since. Good luck to Uwe and all the boys. We have little to fear. COYR.
