Praying for Barrow...

how on earth do you get there !! Thought it would be up to Lancaster and on from there, but trains looked useless, including the return trip quoted at 14 hours !!! lol

Yes, there must be engineering works so I'm aiming to get into Manchester for the Friday night for a direct train in the morning to Barrow. :crazy2:

Praying for Barrow...

I'm also rooting for them to win the replay given that it's a very doable game for me.

Looks like I'll be putting a few miles on the Top Cat Mobile this season.... :sorted:

I hope the :fishing: is for reel (sic)

I don't see the need for the team to endure a overnight trip up north.

However, I see that the FA Cup has suddenly come alive in Northampton ;) I wonder if the long trip to Eastbourne will be made or whether it will be back to disparaging comments about balloons and fancy dress etc. lol

Port Vale is still far more important.
They had a good win at Huddersfield but have lost loads at home this season, I didn't go to H&W as I wasn't invited, I would have bought a ticket at the Rochdale game but couldn't.
It's 2 hours to Eastbourne (normal home game time) or 4 to Barrow by the way. Barrow for me.

Praying for Barrow...

You can get to Eastborne in the same time it takes you to get to Brentford?

Have you moved to Croydon

Anybody got any ideas how to do train to Barrow. Can't get there in time to get drunk and can't get back that night?? Can't do Friday as doing weekender for Accy. Anyone fancy doing a coach?

I was thinking the same, it has to be a coach that maybe picks up a few on the way to the M6.

So seriously folks.... If Barrow becomes a deffo why don't we try and get this arranged. We get the southernmost bod to arrange a coach that might leave at a healthy hour with a karsi and see how much and how many commit and how many stops are needed.

I reckon the bee nearest Northampton should organise it.

Has it been announced that we are definately playing on the Saturday then?

Can't get anything sorted until we know a) Who we are playing? and b) when?

No just speculating at the moment. I reckon we will be live again.

Just a though for you loyal, hard core, old skool supporters. Is there a inter-modal model of transport that could be utilised? e.g. train to Preston then coach and vice versa for the return trip?

Nope, that's an idea put forward by a modern fan who got into the game during Euro 96 and hasn't travelled much.

All possibilities will be explored. Including minibus taxi from Lancaster or Preston.

Praying for Barrow...

Who was that then :D

1)It's not a bad idea but I would suggest that relying on many trains from different directions arriving at a northern sh!thole and all within a reasonably appropriate timescale would make it a no no.

2)You.

Praying for Barrow...

Can't get back same day from either Preston or Lancaster to Reading or Euston

Praying for Barrow...

Manchester to Barrow is okay but we would need to get there for 10.45 am. The way back is ropey so perhaps a stop over in Manchester on the Saturday?

Praying for Barrow...

Can't see ITV doing us back to back.
Setanta Friday or Monday night!!!:eek::eek::eek:
How does that look re our superior rail network?

friday night would be ok. Got the excuse of "no trains back so have to do
