Due to work I was unable to get to Old Trafford on Saturday (yes I am a United fan exiled in Isleworth for now).Made my 2nd ever visit to GP on Saturday, first being Wrexham last year, obviously not the best choice. Must say was impressed with the performance on Sat, good team spirit, solid throughout. Good atmosphere especially the 2nd half. Was sat in the New Road which seemed as good as anywhere. Impressed with Martin Rowlands, also the no 11 I think, not sure of name, smallish dark hair, played on the left. Was interested to see what Christie would do as he has been touted for UTD recently, although he was kepy very quiet by some good defending.

The pubs were buzzing pre match too, started in the Magpie & Cock (dont forget I needed somewhere safe to cheer on UTD v Portsmouth), although ended up in the Albany after a few bravery pints for the last 15 mins, seemed to be the only one who cheered Ruud's penalty, funny that! Had a quickie in the Bricklayers after, not a bad day out. sh*t, I even paid a fiver over the odds for my ticket, although was for 'Bees Utd,' so not complaining.

Anyway, good luck with the season, may well make another few visits this year, read some good articles in Beesotted (wrong site I know) re the Lional Rd move, hope that comes through for you.

And yes........... it was a bit wierd, supporting my local team!!

point 2 - mega shame we didn't get the draw but Sky have got to be able to advertise the FA Cup and what better way than Di Canio's goal for West ham at Old Trafford in the Cup and "can Utd gain revenge", "remember what happened last time" etc., etc., etc.

anyway, next time you visit the real Theatre of Dreams and home of football, bring a couple of friend as well and try a Balti Pie !

If you are a manure fan and live in Isleworth, you are not exiled but live in the true heartland of manure support ie the south east. If the franchise Fc move to Milton Keynes works out a Manure move down into the south east, with its higher propensity for replica shirts, consumption of prawn sandwiches (as opposed to the usual northern diet of chips & gravy/whippet pie) and greater density of Manure fans per head of population, cannot be far off.

I also bought along a boy of 9 supports Manu and whos Uncle Played for Derby in the 80s Martin Call now at Aldershot and now this youg lad cant stop Talking about his Day at Griffen park and is Desparate for me to take him to all the Bees games in the future.
he also went to old trafford 3 weeks ago he liked the ground but he said the atmosphere was better at GP So well done to the Crowd on Saturday. and I am over the moon as now we have a new bee for the Future.
