If we play like we did against Villa and Brighton we can win this. But if we give Kermorgant, GRabban, Obita, etc too much space, they will hammer us. Defending needs to be really tight, with barely enough space to get a fag paper between the back four and the midfield. Get that bit right, and we may nick a 0-0.

My tactical no us is poor but would like to see Egan playing and Mac in squad plus Field playing further up. Kniw that leaves a full back vacancy so don't know. Also Hoff as main striker to start.

Put Egan in for Bjelland and I can see us getting out of the caravan park with a 2-1 win. I think DS might start with the same side as Preston though, meaning a 1-3 reverse.

We tend to do better against footballing sides and Reading like to pass the ball, bit like us in 14-15. Plus they are not hairy-arsed northerners who will get in our faces so, provided we make something out of the limited possession we will get, we could get away with a 1-1 or even 0-0. Their pitch is supposed to be crap but that shouldn't benefit anybody.

Both Smith's and Harlee's comments were good after Preston, so still feeling very positive about next few months. Can't see us losing tomorrow.

We've scored & conceded (F13 A12) more goals than anybody else since New Year. PNE got revenge for their thumping, just hope that Reading mis-read the script. I fear a high scoring defeat, but the unpredictability of this league encourages those anticipating 0 - 0. Would be an excellent result, with them being in 4th place currently...

Draw it is, then. You're all right though, Bees totally unpredictable this season. Exciting, isn't it? Makes the good days more special. Was so boring in 14-15 when we just won every game. lol

Looking at recent TV coverage of their games the pitch looks awful and Reading fans are not happy with it not suiting their preferred style of play and are happy that London Irish are moving out. Having said that Swansea's pitch looked fine on Sunday so it can be done.

I hope this isn't an omen of any kind, but so far I do wonder if this season does seem to be one of things evening themselves out slightly?

Fulham were long overdue a win against us, that they did. Preston were long overdue a win against us, that they did. Also, we were long overdue a win against Birmingham, that we did.

In recent memory I think Reading are probably overdue a win against us too?

EDIT: Oh perhaps not quite so much, in the 5 times we've played them since getting back to the Championship, they did beat us once last season at Griffin Park back in August 2015.

I predict a much more spirited performance than Sat. Such fond memories of 2 years ago(?), wonder strikes from Woods and Canos as well as a previous visit in 2002 (or was it 2001) under Coppell when we won 3-1. Can see a decent performance...2-2 (Vibe, Jota).

2-0 in 2015 too in our penultimate game on the way to the play-offs
