Record Breaking Bees

Calling all Stattos...

I make our current winless run 17 games, in all competitions (over 90 mins) and 13 winless league games.
We have lost the last 5 League and FA Cup games without scoring.

Have we broken any records yet ?

Record Breaking Bees

I reckon so.

We've won the record for the club who turned from 'great prospects and a promising future' to 'Headless chicken club' within 6 months.:(

Yes we started crap and then turned into a bloody good team which was bolstered by the confidence of a great Cup run.

Just to show how standards have slipped, we were a 4th Division team then but who would you rather have in your squad now - our current rabble or good solid professionals like

- Alan Hawley

- Peter Gelson

- Allan Nelmes

- John Docherty

- Jackie Graham

- Bobby Ross

- Roger Cross

Christ I would even prefer "Gladys" Neilson to Brooker anyday.

Wasn't that the season that we signed a decent loan striker - Alex Dawson - which coincided with our pick up in form? Although he only played for 7 or 8 games, the confidence began to pick up and continued on thru the rest of the season.

And yes, i would far sooner have the players mentioned!

Record Breaking Bees

On Football league review it said it was our worst Run ever ?

Record Breaking Bees

This may bee our worse run ever......but just think we are all part of history in the making...being Bees fans at this time...lol ..in years to come we can all tell our grandchildren about this time...YOU REDS....:sorted:

Record Breaking Bees

16 games without a win is our record winless run in the league, set in 1993-94, as I posted elsewhere, which means we could set a new unwanted record at the Port Vale match. Therefore the Football League Review of whatever is talking sh*te.
As for our biggest winless run in all competition, I asked in another thread but even the best stattos the GPG has to offer couldn't come up with an answer  There is also rthe argument that we 'beat' Northampton in the JPT, but that argument could go on forever.

Who remembers the year that the Bees set a league record by winning all their home games in one season. I think It was 1936/37 and we were in the second division. Before my time but let's stay positive.

yes, just to think that one day we will all laugh about it!

Yes a special talent is needed to run Brentford Football Club. A degree in snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
I am reminded of the Business Executive in America who screwed up every company he was with , but nonethless was in great demand as the losses he created could be writen off against tax. That achieved he moved on to screw up the next firm.

Actually, if it hadn't been for the Leeds result, we'd still have a long way to go.

Derby 2-1 Brentford

Brentford 0-2 Chelsea

Charlton 3-0 Brentford

Brentford 0-1 Grimsby

Brentford 1-3 Portsmouth

Leeds 1-2 Brentford

Portsmouth 3-0 Brentford

Brentford 0-0 Man Utd

Stoke 3-1 Brentford

Brentford 0-0 Middlesbro

Brentford 0-3 Blackburn

Bolton 1-0 Brentford

Brentford 1-1 Liverpool

Sunderland 2-1 Brentford

Brentford 0-1 Arsenal

1948 started

Fulham 5-0 Brentford

Brentford 0-3 Luton

Brentford 1-4 Coventry

Luton 3-0 Brentford

Newcastle 1-0 Brentford

22 games, 1 win

The 1970-71 season was the one where the late Frank Blunstone joined as Manager. His first game 5-0 against Exeter. Hope the new manager, hover he may be) has the same result!

Record Breaking Bees

495 League and Cup Minutes since a goal (8 and a 1/4 hours)
Tomorrow will be 44 days since the last goal seen at GP.

The code for international direct dial phone calls to the United Kingdom is ++44.

Record Breaking Bees

since 18th February we have won only 7 of 40 League and Cup games.

585 minutes without a goal now...

In the year 585, Famine struck Gaul. It never really recovered.

Record Breaking Bees

16 league matches without a win................... depressing................

Record Breaking Bees

we're going to go past christmas with me not seeing a single win!

i've only seen 12 games this season though.

Record Breaking Bees

20 games now....:(

Record Breaking Bees

Then the record books are a crock of sh*t.

Record Breaking Bees

the worst team in the history of the club ever, no Bees team has ever been as cack as this lot.

Record Breaking Bees

7 consecutive away losses, without scoring....this is not a record, but we are on the "right" track for one.

Record Breaking Bees

Don't understand this thread ive only seen us lose once..............forest away.

Oh yeah ive only been once this season........................can't believe ive just said that, things must bee bad.

Record Breaking Bees

From another thread I believe the mighty bees are on course to break 4 more records this season...

Lowest number of wins in a season
Lowest number of goals in a season
Lowest number of points in a season
and the first time a Bees team has finished bottom of the league !

Still, to appreciate the highs, you have to experience the lows !

We should be looking for 30 years worth of highs some time soon then, I assume.

Record Breaking Bees

Going for a new record, extended into next season

Currently
5 consecutive losses
11 games without a win.

Record Breaking Bees

If we can let in 2 more goals than Gillingham in our last two games then we can be bottom of every chart that "The Times" prints on each Monday - except fair play!

That's goals scored / goals conceded / home points / away points / current form!

Well do the team brings a tear of pride to my eye that our money has been so well spent this season!

Record Breaking Bees

So we can look back on the 2006 - 2007 season where our glorious boys had:

lowest number of wins in the division
highest number of defeats in the division
least goals scored in the division
most goals conceded in the division
and were 10 points behind the second bottom team (excluding Rotherham)

enjoy the close season you bunch of wasters!

Record Breaking Bees

Largest negative goal difference of all the 92 clubs.

:(

Record Breaking Bees

rofl Bunch of losers!

We can all be very proud that we were around to see the biggest bunch of wasters this club has ever produced.

Things can only get better
