Record Gate Receipts?

With 12,146 in attendance today this has to be a RECORD GATE RECEIPTS today :D

Record Gate Receipts?

WP will be back shortly......

Record Gate Receipts?

Depends if we manage to get the TV fee too

Record Gate Receipts?

lets hope some of this cash can be used this week to bring a couple of players in!
Bradley Wright Phillips is being mentioned although I find this difficult to believe.
Anyway great for the club the extra cash.

No chance.

Wouldn't rule it out the 5th round draw games are ****ing sh*te!!! And of course there is only 7 of them as our 5th round game against Middlesborough is delayed.

With 4 maybe 5 games to be shown, there's got to be a chance.

For a start there is now way they will show Luton vs Millwall or Mk Dons vs Barnsley

Arsenal vs Blackburn, City vs Leed and Utd vs Reading are hardly appetising either.

Record Gate Receipts?

Contractually don't they have to show 2 replays? And there were only 2 draws, us and Huddersfield....

I'd imagine they're clauses in case there aren't sufficent numbers of draws/games not played in midweek etc.

I think TV calls the shots and can dictate when games are played as I hope they do now

I think the Luton game might be shown. Classic cup game...

Pure profit?? after tax, player bonuses and all the other stuff??

A week or so ago I put up my 'estimate' for today on the Beesotted site at around £290k. Mark Devlin subsequently confirmed in an interview that BFC expected to make around £300k today.

For Chelsea you can do the numbers yourself. Attendance what.....41,000..... average ticket price I dunno £25 maybe. So gross receipts 41,000 x £25= £1,025,000. Knock off VAT = £855k. Knock off another £25k (maybe conservative) for policing, stewards and all the other happy stuff gets you down to £830k of which we get 45% (is it for FA Cup??) = £375k. Then there are the radio and tv monies (highlights) plus the bucks that BFC will make from marketing sales etc which should be worth £25k to get us £400k from the replay. Add that to the £300k for today and that gets you to erm.........£700k which is much less than my first estimate an hour ago and also explains why the BFC finances were always ****ed up when I was doing them. :(

That'll do nicely... However I hope it doesn't mess our quest for automatic promotion up

their last 38 fa cup games have been on tv, would be surprised if they dont carry on the tradition

That's shocking. ESPN are even showing Fulham vs Man Utd again next weekend and they wonder why nobody wants to pay an extra subscription for it.

Their marketing campaign was right you really do miss nothing*

*Apart from today

abee, it's unlike you but have failed to incorporate the profits from the 0871 ticketing telephone number. Adding these in should bring the total up to a cool £1,000,000

I imagine hospitality prices to be much more.. did I hear right that ours cost in excess of £100 each, having I think over 50 in there...

Did you not pay? Or are you waiting for the bill to arrive.

I think the club did great in pricing everything yesterday

And have you not factored in the profit from the 6000 'Inflatable Bees'?:)

Record Gate Receipts?

You are a lucky man.
Mine deflated just after Richard Cadette missed that sitter in front of The Kop...:(

you're lucky mine never went up at all, got it just before I got on the coach that morning :(

Record Gate Receipts?

I still have mine so it's just 5,999
Great day

I'll need a new one. Mine was was ambushed (in a good nature) by a pub full of Liverpool supporters and was last seen sitting proudly above the bar surrounded by Liverpoo and other clubs mementos.

Yes, it was not a good idea for the club to have brought them from the same firm that supplied Del Trotter with those inflatable dolls...
