Was very surprised he gave us the penalty as he seemed to be bottling it every time a big decision was needed e.g. the foul on CD first half when their player was last man, would have been a red card probably so he gave nothing instead.

But at the end of the day he didn't lose us the game we did that ourselves.

That Ref and linesman was totally useless, no guts and balls to sort them timewasters out, The Ref made a quick exit down the tunnel afterwards !!!!!!

I was amazed he awarded the penalty as he and the lineman on the New Road side seemed to avoid making any decisions all game.........I really wish he hadn't given the penalty the whole day would have been alot less painful.

I was actually thinking and said to the guy next to me that the way it was going with him giving all the decisions their way and having the crowd on his back that we were due a big decision. So often refs look to even things up, admit it or not subconsciously he would have been aware that he had given most things their way and wouldn't have liked all the flack he was getting from players and fans and it would have been in his mid when he gave us the penalty.

As you say, I rather wish he hadn't.

Shoddy's being very generous. I'd say totally incompetent was nearer the mark. I lost count of the number of decisions he, and the New Rd lino, got wrong, especially in the first half. He gave us no protection at all against a team of Northern thugs and if this is what we can expect the higher we move up the leagues something's wrong. He may be a Prem ref but I feel the game was too big for him.

I think in trying to be absolutely impartial he got the balance of fairness wrong . This led to some extremely weird decisions. Brentford`s penalty at the end was a decision which based on the rest of his decisions he would normally have turned down. All in all an extremely unprofessional type of performance. Perhaps the importance of the match got to him.
