Refunds going out?

Anyone else now receiving refunds for matches not played? Two friends, ST holders, have had an email from the club and their accounts credited tonight, but found it strange there was no accompanying announcement along the lines of these matches will not be played, or will be played behind closed doors when safe to do so.

I've kind of mentally written off the money for this season, although I'm not quite as relaxed about paying up front for all of next season when I'd be surprised to be watching any games live until much later in the year at best. At the least I'd hope to get free access to a live stream of behind closed doors games.

I’m in a similar situation and have been told to email the ticket office next week and ask them to deduct the refunds on my account against my remaining season ticket balance for next year. Doesn’t sound like it will be automatically applied.

I’ll give this a go for my F**ham & Reading tickets. Get promoted & I’ll have had good value for the 1920 S/Ticket!
Somebody wrote a few weeks back offering smaller instalments for the 2021 S/Ticket, which I said yes to. It will surprise no one that there’s no reference to this on my tickets account...oh well.

Got 2 separate emails like the above. These are for season tickets I put up for exchange, which someone grabbed. I think the credit was supposed to go against next seasons, season ticket .. which I’m not getting.

Ok, so when I log into my ticket account on BFC, there is a credit for 2x£19.96, which I guess I can use for any further tickets or merchandise purchased from the club.
That’s good .. as I thought this credit was going nowhere, what with not getting a season ticket, next season

I've got a credit refund too, I think it has been disjointed this year because the reservation centre are dealing with the new season rather than the Box Office.

They were the original comms from the club......
Seems like that changed half way through the season.....some people already got credits shortly after successful Ticket Exchange sales earlier in the season....

I e-mailed the ticket office yesterday :

Lucy replied just saying tickets are valid for the re-arranged fixtures and further info will be released when we know the new dates This will include a refund process supporters unable to attend the new date .

Don't really know why they are waiting , its clear we won't be allowed to attend

Same here. I think this has been disingenuous by the club to say they have attempted to put this on our cards when it’s clear this is not the case.

I get why they don’t want to refund fans due to the current cash flow situation, but come out and say it first.

Annoying thing here is WBA have issued refunds for both Home and Away matches. They put a statement out last week

We wouldn’t have given Reading the money they are due yet so it’s no problem for the club to refund ticket monies.

We * may * have given Fulham the money before matchday.

Each time tickets are sold on behalf of another club there is a reconciliation made just before the game.

2019/20 Season Ticket - 100% will NOT ask for any reimbursement here. Sunk cost for me a long time ago which is budgeted for and also gone to the club. I don't feel like I'm being cheated out of pocket here

Charlton - I bought 2 x extra tickets for non-Brentford fans who wanted to come with me. They don't want to pay so I will request this back. Feel a bit bad here, but I don't really want to lose that money

2020/21 Season Ticket - I will not expect reimbursement here if the first few games of the season are missed due to behind closed doors

No , only refunds have been resold ticket exchange ones , unless thats what you mean ?

I emailed the reservation team at 3.10pm this afternoon to request paying in instalments, got a call back about two minutes later; plan set up and they're going to credit my non-used Forest season tickets (which got taken up on the Exchange) against the first instalment. Very good service.

I would also like my Reading money back, but I'm sure they're just waiting to figure out how and when the game is going to be played, if it is, and take it from there. Happy to cut the club a good deal of slack on this front, also in terms of paying my season ticket money when we don't know when the restart will be - just a different kind of support, innit.

From what I can gather, paid into ticketing account .. not bank accounts.
I personally wasn’t expecting anything and was thinking it would black hole. So a credit is good with me and much appreciated

There is nothing wrong worth communicating the options open to them and us. I don’t think refunding people and deliberately lying about the method at the same time is particularly ethical.
