Deon and his Jamaican teammates did us proud last night with a 3-0 away win over El Salvador (Deon didn't score). With the US drawing 1-1 away to Panama (an injury time goal from Cobi Jones secured them a point), the table, after 3 games, now looks like this:

USA 1-2-0 5 pts
Jamaica 1-1-1 4 pts
Panama 1-1-1 4 pts
El Salvador 1-2-0 3 pts

Fair play to them. Enjoyed the US Salvador match. Thought they looked pretty good and Jamaica had a result beating them 3-0.

There are three CONCACAF groups of four teams. I think the winners automatically go through, with the best runner-up playing off against the best Asian runner-up.

Heard on FiveLive that in the USA-El Salvador game (I think) that one of the El Salvador players got a second yellow from the ref for wearing a necklace (or some other piece of jewellery).

And to think Bournemouth felt hard done-by.
