Reidy's gone

He was 2/1 to be the first sacked before the Newcastle game, and someone was too lazy to place the bet.

Signed,

(A very p!ssed off) Sweepy.

Peter Taylor to take over? It's certainly not going to be Coppell now.

Who else is available out there? George Graham, David O'Leary, Bryan Robson or will they go for a foreigner?

george graham and david o'leary are foreign;)

David O'Leary is the man for the job.
You have to feel for Peter Reid though as the games I have seen the players got him the sack. !!!

Reidy's gone

Why did they sack him if they didnt have a replacement lined up. If you run a business professionally you should have a replecament ready made, rather than casting the net around, as sunderland are doing, for the usual suspects

O'dreary - spent 100s of millions of leeds money - crap manager, where are Leeds now - are they any better than when he took over - tactically inept

George Graham - struck lucky with the Arse for a couple of years, never done anything since and also has a greedy tendency for needing a bribe

Jon Gregory - unsuited to being a manager, doesn't have the trust of his players because he slags them off all the time

Mick Mccarthy - a possible seeing as the way he handled the Irish psychopath has p1ssed off the irish fans, even if he was 100% correct

Sunderland should go for Niall Quinn, he is considerably more intelligent than the average footballer and must have some bright ideas

Due to the Internationals, the Black Cats now have 2 weeks to find a replacement, so they did not nessacarily need a replacement lined up for Reid.

Besides, I reckon if they had actually beaten Arsenal at the w/e, Reid still would have been sacked. The loss against Newcastle did it for Reid. As if the loss against Arsenal was a massive shock.

I think they've already found their replacement. As a big club, you don't get rid of the manager without having successors in mind. They've would have been thinking of a successor way before handing Reid his P45. It's only a case of him taking up the role, whoever HE may be.

I hope its not o'dreary.

If it is get ready for untold excuses of "we are a young team, we have a lot to learn, i didnt see the tackle etc etc".

He had his chance with Leeds, spent £100m, and blew it. The only good thing he did was making a £12million profit on ferdinand.

I'm pretty sure they will appoint O'Leary. I don't have any information but it's just a hunch. They would be far better going for Graham. Not many teams get relegated with a good defence and Graham will stop them conceding goals.

they should give it to George Graham with Niall Quinn as Assistant. Contract to run to end of next season when Niall Quinn would be ready for the job

unless George Graham goes to Chelsea instead when Ranieri gets to old tin-tack ! ;)

One more defeat, preferably at home, should do it. :lol2

Can someone please tell Peter Reid the circus is in town, well in Yateley anyway.

I'm sure he could be gainfully employed entertaining the kids with his unique trick of peeling bananas with his toes.
