Any hope I had that the club will surivive disappeared when the club apponted Fitz. No disrespect to him, but why the heck would you take a chance like that? This is the most crucial period in the clubs history and it was a time for the stewards of our club to step up, they stepped back IMHO. No wins since September, an inexperienced squad, no money and it seems no hope either. I have endured the Bees being rock bottom of the old Div 4 but have never sensed pessimism and depression like this. Can anyone shed some positive light??

Absolutely.

The club will not be relegated this season.

So there are 4 worse teams in this division than us?

Didn't think so

Relegation certainties

So who exactly/realistically should/could the board have appointed to turn us round?

We.....will.....not.....get......relegated!;)

Time to stop the moaning and do the opposite, show why managers say we are amongst the best fans in the country, get behind the squad on Boxing Day.

Too right, a different manager may of come in but still would of had to work with same squad!

There will be after the January transfer window closes.

...............how about the one that the panel thought was the best option.

Relegation certainties

Absolutely.

The club will not be relegated this season.

Fancy a wager ?

I will bet you a dinner that you are mistaken.

Believe me this would be one wager that I would love to lose.

Relegation certainties

all the players were pleased with the fitz appointment

too right they aint going to get there backsides kicked like a new man would have done

dont let fitz waste the kitty save it for the new man next season

You don't appoint a rookie in a crisis, you appoint someone who knows what it takes to turn things around, been there, done that kind of thing. Look at it professionally, if you have a business unit under performing do you appoint a leader who has NO experience? Of course not, you want someone who has led the charge. As for the comment on whoever got the job it would have been the same players, that is a load of tosh. There are numerous examples of a leader getting things out of people that their predecessors could not it is called being a motivator:

It's a sh*te job and no "name" wanted it.

Relegation certainties

Maybe.Apparently he decided not to take the job.Let's move on.

This is the kind of thinking that got us into this crap...Lets move on is not acceptable, lets learn from it and then maybe move on. This club has a history of repeating mistakes it's time we learnt from one or two of them

O.K a ray of light......o.k a speck if Halifax go up and we down ,well you can do the away fixture and get the best curry in the world at the Crown tandoori .....i know its not much but this is the bleak mid winter after all! chin up remember were English we won't cry like those whining little pussies at Charlton and palace.

So Mr Allen was a vastly experienced manager was he?.........not but he got us out of the sh*te and so will Fitz

Oh no he won't!
pantomime season & yet another pantomime appointment by our pantomime board.
we're doomed and we know we are.

Relegation certainties

Oh yes he will.
I firmly believe Fitz will get us to 20th position or above before the end of this season, even after today's result.

Relegation certainties

You want some positive light - we have Millwall at home in our next game. Northamption and Bournemouth are in free fall. This is not a strong league - even an average team can put together a few wins (look at Orient). We have money to strengthen the team in January.

Finally, you live in Sacramento, so don't have to watch every week!

Relegation certainties

We will stay up with the help of premiership loan players  , the supporters sticking together :fishing: and .................................a lot of luck

We will stay up and the survival starts Tuesday (I wrote to Santa) :sorted:

Relegation certainties

Reports have been far more promising since the absolute shower of sh*te shown against Crewe and Doncaster and away at Cheltenham so you have to hope. We look to be creating more chances and eventually a few will go in. Also Forest are losing a few and may not go up which would be a huge result for League 1.

Relegation certainties

Corals had us at 1/2 to be relegated prior to today.
Probably now around the 4/9 mark.

Relegation certainties

MA got an immediate response, and he didn't have too much to work with.

I hardly call Hunt, Tabb, Talbot and Sonko "not too much to work with ".

I only wish we had a similar lack of talent in the squad now !!

Relegation certainties

Prior to MA's arrival we weren't being tonked every game, so maybe he had less to do to turn defeats into victories. We did sink very very low in Rosenior's last few games so anyone was going to have their work cut out. Things do seem to have improved but as the gulf between failure and success was so great he still has a hell of a lot more to do. Good luck to him.

Relegation certainties

MA got an immediate response, and he didn't have too much to work with.

He got a response because he took a chainsaw to the squad on day one, laying down markers, binning those players that he didn't want and making clear to others he couldn't ship out on loan they weren't part of this plans.

We need the same to happen right now.

Relegation certainties

No goals no hope! Kick the ball in the net! simple! All the other average teams we've played manage it! Whoever is manager tell them to shoot at the goal at every opportunity! If you are not shooting then be on your toes for second opportunity! Don't be the slow flat footed losers you have been so far! Get off your backsides and start shooting!

Relegation certainties

I hope he has some contacts (not electrical or optical) so we can get in some loan players because as we know all too well its hard to get rid of muppets on contracts i mean if you cant cut it in this division where are you gonna cut it.Leroy played at enough clubs but did **** all to bring in a bit of fresh talent he seemed to know no one.

You've answered your own question. Inexperienced squad. I will not accept relegation till it actually happens. But things do not look to good do they?

Relegation certainties

Done.

Either Le Tour d'Argent or Cinq in Paris.

if fitz did as you ask and he whipped out his chainsaw (oh er a bit homoerotic there), laid his markers, binned the sh*te and deplanned those he couldnt loan out...seeing as there is a shutdown on transfers and loans at the moment...what size squad would he be left with at the moment

once youve given me an answer then tell me you wouldnt start moaning cos he only had a team of 6 players (and Im guessing at this amount, but considering the team we have at present...)

so im glad the same thing hasnt happened right now, cos we wouldnt be able to field a team...

easy to criticise...not so easy to try understanding or a solution

Martin took a further chainsaw to the team the survived the drop. :)

I'm fully aware that Fitz will be selecting players he would prefer not to as his hands are tied at present.

Relegation certainties

hands tied and his nuts in the mangle...an inenviable position...

I bet he expected this...

Relegation certainties

D'accord. Mrs North London Bee will probably join us if Paris is the venue

:)

Have you got the hang of this.

Paris will be the venue.........it's just a question of which of us pays and Mrs NLB is most welcome to also be my guest if Brentford are relegated........which is not gonna happen.

You called me out and therefore I get choice of weapons......that's the way that it works n'est ce pas??? If Brentford are relegated this season I'll pay for you and Mrs NLB to come to Paris and be my guests for dinner at one of these two restaurants. If they stay up you come over (with Mrs NLB if you wish 'cos it's then all on your account). Allow £400 per head for Cinq and £225 per head for Le Tour d'Argent.

Wait for the January transfer window plus not forgetting of course the "cost nothing or nearly nothing" Premiership loans from a London club that Fitz and Reeves told Jim Levack about..........lol.....and then if you wish you can buy me out of the bet for £250 (to Bees United) and not later than February 15.

Mathmatically, we could still get promoted.

The glass is half full, the fat lady ain't singing yet and it ain't over until it's over.

Happy Christmas one and all :sorted:

Why aren't we looking to resolve the blindingly obvious?

When we relaid the turf at GP we unknowingly released some demon League 2spirits emanating from the well know Milton Keynes / Fulham fault line ( which l won't bore you with the detail ) intent on sealing up the opposition net with an invisible magnetic force field:eek:

lt seems to me that we have not addressed this issue in the survival plan and should have been on the criteria list ( a woeful omission KD. ) l am personally surprised Fitz has just been allowed to concentrate on finding leaner, fitter, talented, hungrier players.

Can we please rectify immediately, it will make a difference us finding the net again sometime soonish, preferably starting against Milwall :sorted:

This will turn our season around, trust me.

Then we can turn organic too. (The soil association will approve this measure as there has already been a demonstrably large amount of sh*te concentrated on the playing surface already this year ...just a thought:D )

Don't know much about turf, but have you been on the grass? ;)

Thank you, my friend, it will as everyone I am sure knows, be a long hard winter, but come the spring im sure things will be looking brighter and all the doom and gloom mongers will be chomping on thier humble pie, hailing Fitz as the Messiah

All is fine and totally understood.

I should have written "as" rather than "if" in my response - but numb with tiredness as we were both out at 6am this morning to choose the Christmas turkey - we are struggling to decide what to call it - Greg, Brian, Keith or Foli. Any other suggestions ?

We both look forward to our Paris trip irrespective of who finally picks up the tab !

Say "hi" to Fola for me.......

Even given its current state of health - ie dead, it's more mobile, has more control and is better in the air than its namesake.

So at say 9-4 against us being relegated £4k brings in £13k in April.........I may never have to work again.
