Reserves V Orient

We lost 4-3 apparently.

Judging by the fact we conceded 3 may not spell good news for Bush and Blake, who were both playing for contracts apparently.

Guess we/they will have to wait and see-fingers crossed!

Anyone there? Any good performances?

I notice from the line ups that quite a few of the trialists weren't there... I only recognise Morgan as a trialist...

Surely we conceded 4 if we lost 4-3?

I think Bush scored. Let's stick him up front

Blake played in midfield according to the OS

I thought Joshua Clarke who only played first half at right back looked useful, had pace and passed the ball, ran right through their defence to score. Also Kyle Vassell looked useful and took his goal well. Bush was commanding but dithered on the ball for their 4th goal and our defence was often outpaced. Middleton in goal did some good things but maybe could have done better on 2 of the goals.

Apart from that was not over impressed with anyone else, I didnt feel like I was watching the Brentford of the future. It was quite a small team, seemed like some were very young indeed. Suspect one or two who would have appeared have travelled to Huddersfield

Gutted liked the prospect of Kyle Vassell but im sure I read on the Chronicle he is being released and has two clubs in for him?!

Agreed. Clarke looked very useful indeed. Harried the O's fullback and made a goal for himself out of nothing. Has a lot of pace & it was a pity he was subbed at half-time.

Bees were well on top in first half & could have been further in front with Morgan missing a penalty but O's were dangerous on the break. We started the 2nd half even better imo, but were picked off by a breakaway goal followed by a superb freekick from their captain, Beautyman. Our substitutions disrupted the team & we then lost our triallist c/half Fenwick with a shoulder injury, leaving us with only 10 players. Bush then made a bad mistake to leave the Orient forward with a 1 on 1 which he took superbly.

To be fair, we were missing Reeves, Oyeleke & Hacker, & had they been playing I think we would have won this game comfortably. I am a big fan of Bush but imo, he did not play well today. Blake looked ok in midfield & Fenwick is pretty solid although a little small for a centre half. Clarke for me was the standout - he looks young but has great pace and skill. I hope he progresses as he definitely has talent.

Very impressed with Clarke. Looks to have good potential. Bush isn't ready yet. Maybe 12 months in the Development Squad will be beneficial and he will be there for the 12/13 season.

Kyle scored 4 goals for Sutton United tonight in their 6-0 Surrey Senior Cup win over Godalming Town. Also hit the post and had one disallowed.

...and his first 3 goals were scored within 3 minutes and 2 seconds, which Sutton believe is a club record.
Only 42 seconds longer than James Hayter's record league hatrick for Bournemouth.

Vassell is also registered for Whitehawk, as well as Sutton.
