Rhodes back!

Rhodesy's in the squad for Saturday, great news! Just hope he's not being rushed back because of our injury problems...

Rhodes back!

I'm not sure that you've interpreted MA's message correctly. I suspect he means that Alex is back in full training. I'd be very surprised if he was in the 16-man squad tomorrow. If he was, there's no real chance of him playing yet, I wouldn't have thought.

Framps - Sus

Possibly still Brooker or Owusu. Who's KC? ;)
I think it may be a bit of a bluff and we actually see a few back tomorrow. :sorted:

surely he wouldn't be in the squad if there wasn't a chance of him playing

i dunno, i'd interpret MA's message as Mr C did... would be great to see Rhodesey back and most importantly, back to his old self - would be terrible if he has lost that electric pace

Why does he say that he's back in the squad then?

IF he is in tomorrow's squad, MA might just be doing so to give him a boost. If we have got so many injuries, he may no have many other alternatives anyway. At the end of the day, though, does any team really need 5 subs? I still remember the times of 1 substitute (and before that, subs weren't even allowed!), so making one person who has no real chance of getting on a sub is no real big deal - there are still 4 other subs to choose from.

I certainly hope that I'm wrong though, as it would be great to see Alex playing (even as a sub) tomorrow. It would certainly be well ahead of schedule, from what we've been told.

Rhodes back!

diddnt MA do the same sort of thing with Eddie H when he returned from his injury last season, a surprise inclusion in the squad and then came on for the last 5 minutes?

Rhodes back!

He can come on for the last 5 minutes when we're 3-0 up please.

Rhodes back!

Just to have Alex Rhodes back in Full Training and involved with the squad is a major boost and will seem like a new signing.

Good to have you back on board "Tiger" :sorted:

Rhodes back!

If MA said hes in the squad then he is not hat hes started training becasue MA has mentioned rhodes starting training a week ago ! TIGER !!

Rhodes back!

Alex was with the team at Huddersfield last week...was doing pre match warm up with the rest of the boys so I wouldn't be surprised if he makes the bench tomorrow...

Been watching the bees in training a few times now and Alex Rhodes has been training with the first team as if he was never injured, he was moving well and didnt look to be affected by anything.

sounds like blinding news - nice one Alex :sorted:

Rhodes back!

Tough to tell about the speed but i from chatting to him and seeing him train a while back....fingers crossed.

Rhodes back!

OK, guys! So I'm reading something into it that's not meant to be there. It will certainly be great to see him back playing. I would just be astonished (in a really good way) if he were to play any part in tomorrow's game, especially when expectations were that he'd be back around Xmas.

Good luck tomorrow Alex :sorted:

Rhodes back!

Rhodes has been training with the full team so hes got to be on the bench hasnt he??? Good news to the end of a bad days work !!!!

Some people get better faster than others.
Some people work harder to get better than others
Some people work harder to keep their fitness than others

Congratulations for all your good work Alex - great to see you back

Rhodes back!

...and there was me hoping the Sunshine Band will celebrate for us whilst KC was injured!

Good to see him back in action yesterday and the pace seemed to be there, which was a relief as I remember Derek Bryan's return from a similar injury when all his pace had gone

Rhodes back!

Looked really up for it when he came on, some great runs,. If only he'd nicked in that chance from the superb through ball by Tabb. would have been goal of the season!!!

Rhodes back!

thank god he hasnt lost any pace.maybe his injury wasnt as bad as first feared then.

Rhodes back!

Champagne moment of the game when he came on, looked like he had never been away.

Wonder how MA might fit him into the team, if I were DJ I might be worried,

Thought I'd clean up your typo.

Try it yourself sometime....I can assure you that type of injury takes a lot of hard work and physio in order to get back as quickly as Tiger has....hope you never get a similar injury my friend...the pain when it happens is excrutiating... I have first hand experience....

Rhodes back!

Good to see him back and looking remarkebly sharp considering the time he has been out. Once we get the rest back we will romp the league.

Rhodes back!

It was a huge boost to see Rhodesy back on the pitch yesterday.

I would have thought that MA will keep him on the bench and use him for 20-odd minute appearances at the end of games for the next half a dozen games or so due to the serious nature of the injury.

Admittedly Alex did look very sharp when he came on and it seems (touch wood) as if he's pulled through very well, but how much of yesterday was down to the adrenalin and home support remains to be seen.

Personally I would continue to be overly cautious until he can show that he can turn on the style on a cold wet windy northern away weeknight as well as at home on a bright Saturday afternoon.

Great to see you back though Alex! :sorted:

Rhodes back!

Wonderful to see him back yesterday.Always suspected he was ahead of schedule, having seen him chomping at the bit at the Training ground.....

Hopefully, he'll be eased along as 'super-sub' with Peters, enabling Brooker & Tabby to go hell for leather for 70mins please....

Rhodes back!

Really good to see him back - his pace was electric as ever. I did fear for his wee legs when the first tackle came in (he snap like twig) but he came through unscathed :bound: what a soldier :D
