who knows!!! I suspect that MA would like to use his pace at some point....

however Rankin might step up a gear again like last year!!

I still have a stupid though sneeky feeling he might be on the bench on Saturday

Rhodes

I imagine he'll only be on the bench if Brooker isn't fit

Hope you're right NLB. I'm getting a tad concerned :(

why?

Last nights performance would have curbs a tad concerned.

Rhodes would be a great ambush though:wave:

Rhodes

I agree. It's great that we don't need him and he can come back when he's fully ready

Not about last nights performance, me old china ;) that was superb. It's about the lad overcoming the injury. We are well into the time he should be coming back and apart from 20mins against Bronby still no sign. Hopefully my fears are unfounded and he will get back soon. It will be like signing a new player if he gets thro it. :)

Rhodes

He needs to come back fully fit with no adverse affects from training or friiendly matches. If Rhodes is still not right then MA can't 'rush' him back like last time. He'll be back when he's ready and he'll add another dimension to our game. When you look at how we've played, we haven't really missed him. Just shows how good the squad is. But he's handy to have coming back for say our last 10 games !!

With Rankin, for all his endeavours, not entirely convincing and Willock appearing to settle slowly, it'll be interesting to see if Rhodes plays up front With his pace, he could easily create the same impression as DJ.

I suspect that if we were struggling he might be brought back sooner. But this is one of those things that is easy to re-injure if you're impatient. And the luxury of time is good for MA as he might eventually get back a real jewel.

Good luck Tiger!

Spoke to Alex last night he doesnt know if he is in on sat game, he hasnt played the last few games because doyle has said no otherwise he would have been on the bench

You obviously don't mess with Doyle...!

Knees are tricky ones, after a long lay off you are very prone to picking up another injury, I guess the body isn't toughen up enough. He probably needs a couple of friendlies, this is the sort of problem you have without a reserve side.

I think I'd rather Brooker than Rhodes on Saturday, actually, I'm not sure... Blistering pace and comittment, or the good crosses and experience?

Rhodes

Brooker has really come on, and experience will be important tomorrow (I love saying 'tomorrow'!). If Rhodes would have any role it might be as a late sub - but as we'll need defenders late on instead of needing to attack, I think his return is still in the future. :sorted:

Personally, I don't think this is the best game to bring Rhodes back and think best to leave him until Port Vale for an appearance on the bench :sorted:

Do you work in Hounslow and do you drive?

No and no. Work in Feltham but starting at 2pm. I've got a delivery coming before 1 though so depends when that turns up.

Rhodes

I spoke with Alex before the match on Saturday & he said he'd been fully fit for two weeks

You obstetricians have a hard life:sorted:

Yes. A reserve game sounds just the ticket.

This is really fantastic news. I was watching the season review from last year and it reminded me how good he was getting.

Come on Alex!

Rhodes

think he will start or come on this saturday, rested before the big game me thinks:wave:
