agree, some GPG'ers/supporters just can't give credit where it's due, Shakes wasn't good enough for us, but will find his level, if its the conference then so be it.

but Vinnie Jones, Carlton Palmer and Robbie Savage, to name a few sh*te players, have done very well out of Professional football, and internationals too................ :rolleyes: I bet you're so good at your job, top in the business your in, eh? :rolleyes:

The people who knock Shakes might refer to his workrate clouding his skill factor but he was undisputedly one of our better players for a number of the matches during last season particularly in games when we needed someone to step forward and take some responsibility.

Good luck to him. He did well for us (on the whole) and i think he'll do a good job for Wrexham in the Blue Square :sorted:

Shakes was never found wanting for lack of effort and for that reason alone I wish him well. If he can find a bit more consistency and self-belief, then he can still do very well.

His finest hours were Wrexham and Barnet away, his effort and performance at Barnet whilst we were under seige were immense and then he went into overdrive after Smith's sending off. He was virtually carried off at the final whistle and I always hoped that he would make it but deep down we all knew that he wasn't good enough.

I like Ebbsfleet and the work that Daish is doing and Ricky Shakes will be a good signing for them. He's quoted as saying that the fans will have fun with him, I think he could be right.:sorted:

Scored in the Conference South play-off final for Ebbsfleet today as they beat Farnborough 4-2. Calum Willock also on the scoresheet!
