That would be a nice situation to be in. Don't forget when everyone is fit we have 4 central midfielders, Mahon, Evans, Javary and Ingimarsson, for 2 places. Even with Ingimarsson at CB thats 3 into 2 and i wouldn't mind any of them playing. Earle would give an extra dimension we don't have currently. A midfielder who scores regular goals.

I said after the Brizzle City game that Robbie Earle was sitting behind me in D block. He didn't look like he was scouting/reporting as he stayed to the very end.

Or maybe Teamlies listen to me....oh that's even worse!

From my experience of stewarding in D block most scouts left about 10 mins before the end. I was not suggesting Mr Earle was reporting in the journalistic sense, but maybe reporting in a fact-finding one. He was not near the press box.

I always thought Robbie was a striker not a midfielder !!!!

If he is I would play him upfront with McCammon as he is experienced and will score goals.

If he we class him as a midfielder I would leave out Mahon and play him in behind the front 2 with the other to working behind him in a 3-5-2 like this

Player profile shows him in midfield in a 4 4 2 .Also says at 34 wants to stay in the top flght for a couple of years.He also is a reporter for a sports paper and a radio ststion,sorry Pauly !!!
So it would at first appear that this one is smoke with out fire.Hes probably too good for the second division anyway !

Didn't this story do the rounds in June/July and I thought then that Robbie Earle had had to retire from football? Would have been a nice signing in my view though.
