Fair enough response. I belive the ultimate decision re Marinus would have come from DOFs/Matthew, not Robert. But your point about clarity of structure within the club is a fair one, and one I wouldn't necessarily disagree with. It's all become a little murky. But perhaps that was to be expected with such a huge change, things may just become naturally clearer with time.
I agree with your response in several places. Yes, I am sure that the ultimate decision re Marinus would have come from DOF/Matthew. It certainly is murky and possibly, only possibly, as a result of the change. Robert Rowan is a serious player, prior to arriving at Brentford he was DOF at Stenhousemuir and responsible for player recruitment working alongside the manager. Davewfilms has reported that he is studying for a Masters Degree in Sports Directorship so walking around Jersey Road as Head of Football Operations it is doubtful that he is only an Office Boy who is good with a Computer. As I see it he is either working alongside our DOF's collecting data from all sources including Training Sessions, analysing and reporting the results to them. This would make him a very unsavoury character who would be viewed with suspicion by whoever he was reporting on and I am not sure that this is the situation. More likely he is representing the DOF's as an equal and as such would directly supervise all engaged on 'Operational' football which probably means he was directly involved in the dismissal of Marinus. To answer HullBee I have no problem with a 24 year old who is clearly very switched on but may be in the future a hard nosed ex footballer who has moved into management/coaching possibly could well have. In any event it is easy to see why the likes of Warburton wanted nothing to do with this system. Yes, this is all speculation but clarity is certainly required. Belvederebee, thanks for your advice I have attempted to improve but I am afraid that I did not go to a very good school and English has dogged me all my life but I have done quite well to get this far I suppose!
