anyone remember him? claims he played for Brentford in late sixties/seventies. Was a goalkeeper but says he was forced to play as a forward against Aldershot in League Cup away and scored two goals.

Don't remember the name, but I haven't my 100 years book with me. It's possible, I guess: Bees won 4-2 at Aldershot in the first round of the League Cup in 1968 (we lost 1-0 there in 1971 in the same competition).

this is really what I am getting at. I was at the 4-2 at Aldershot and can't remember him. I seem to recall Pat Terry scored at least two goals for us.

No relation of Drewe Broughton, who claimed he scored two goals in a match for us, when he didn't start one?

<g.

Drewe Broughton started a league cup match at Shrewsbury, I thought.

Drifted around Division Three ever since leaving us.

Drewe Broughton claimed to have scored several times for our reserves. This was to Peterborough fans who asked him why he was at GP for such a short time. He said he couldn't figure it out as he'd done so well in the stiffs! But the record book will show that our reserve team didn't have any fixtures in the whole of the period that he was registered as a Brentford player.
