Ronaldo

So Ronaldo has stabbed the back of the club and the fans which for the past 3 years have supported him while he recovered from his knee injury.

At £100k a week, Ronaldo received upwards of £5m for not playing a single game during his 18 months out injured. And as a reward for sticking with him, the minute he becomes totally fit again he DEMANDS a transfer.

(Makes me a tad annoyed, but not as annoyed as I get about Bowyer not committing to the club which rescued his career and bankrolled his court case).

Question is, with a price tag which could easily be $100m, who is gonna buy him? We can rule out all Italian clubs as 1). None of them have any money, and 2). I don't think it would be Ronaldo's best interest to stay in Italy having just seen a report on the reaction of the Inter fans.

The only two clubs in the world which could buy him are Real Madrid and Man U. Man U are a plc, have already spent £30m and declare they have no more money left for transfers, so you can rule them out. I'm not sure the plc would approve of a £65m outlay AND £100k a week.

So that leaves Real... but how the hell can they afford to sustain this type of spending? Granted they sold their training ground for an inflated £200m, but that just about wiped out their debts. And with players like Raul, Figo, Zidane et al, I dread to think how many zero's are on their wage bill.

If Real decide they can't afford Ronaldo, or simply don't think they need him, then I would say that in the current climate, there is no where in the world Ronaldo could go, which I think would send a very interesting message throughout football... and although I know it won't happen, I really hope that it does... for the sake of football.

Has he actually asked for a transfer?
Also much of his salary has been paid by London Market Insuers for the time he was injured!!
I know I've seen the claims advises!!

Ronaldo

He didn't ask for a transfer today, he demanded one (according to what are no doubt trumped up reports). He emerged from the HQ to a chorus of boos' from the Inter fans.

I think I vaguely remember reading somewhere that now Manchester United's kits are made by Nike & Ronaldo is contracted to them, that could perhaps be in someway an advantage for Manchester United trying to sign him, or something along those lines... but are they brave enough?...

radio 5 live

cant remember what day but i heard Inter
had put a £67 million price tag on him
so if Real get him they will smash the record again

Ronaldo

Heard on radio he might go for about £36m which is probably top price at the moment ( would put Ferdinands transfer in perspective), although doubt anybody's got even that sort of money plus about 100k per week wages.

As for stabbing Inter in the back, well yeah.... but this is one of the moneybags G14 clubs who have kind of set the scene for looking after number 1.

Ronaldo

It was an extremely protracted transfer saga. Ronaldo also thanked everyone on earth apart from Inter for helping him when he won the World Cup. Ungrateful swine.

Madrid continue their quest to own every player in the world, maybe they think the easiest way to keep winning the Champions League is to buy everyone else's good players so they can't score against them!

Ronaldo

ronaldo to the bees

i reckon if we improved our burger stand they could make ronaldo sign for us and further infuriate inter's everywhere............

Ronaldo

This whole Ronaldo saga is exactly the type of thing in modern football which puts me off football in general. Yes of course the poor little Brazilian boy wants to win trophies, but then so do we all, but how about some loyalty? No? Oh, ok then, off you go son, just don't do it again.

And as for this:

Oh dear, that should go down with Real fans.
