Rovers new ground

Perhaps they could groundshare with London Welsh ?

Don't like it. Just another bowl. Hope our new ground shows a bit more imagination...

Think it looks decent, cant understand why people are yet to come to terms with modern grounds looking, well ....modern.

The word you're looking for is sh*t. Just because something's modern doesn't mean it has to be generic. Brighton, Swansea and Huddersfield have decent grounds

Prefer having Griffin Park, than having a "modern" ground with no character or atmosphere that can't even be filled. Is that really going to be used to it's full potential though by a average team now in League Two? More so, it's going to be a challenge filling the ground too! MK Dons are a prime example of this.

Stadium mk this year had the quietest home fans I've ever heard. Because the ground was only a quarter full, it was even worse! At least us Bees made some noise! Having said that BR fans are generally quite vocal. When they ALL sing 'Goodnight Irene', as happens at least once during one of their home games, it's actually quite impressive.

Ever since they had Eastville stolen from them they have been looking to build a new ground.

Even at Eastville, iirc, they were tenants, as they were at Twerton. I think they jointly own the Mem with the rugby club. After receiving their share of the Sainsbury's money, will they have enough to go it alone?

It hasnt been built yet. How do you know it will be sh*t? Brighton and Hudders do have decent grounds but they are extremely very similar. Grounds are either generically outdated and not fit for purpose e.g. Griffin Park (as sad as that is) or generically modern just like Saints and Mk Dons. Why fund that bit extra to make it slightly unique, when new grounds cost a fortune already? The Wembley arch is impressive but adds nothing to the match day experience IMO.

I don't want our ground to be identical to Doncaster's. The sketches on the Lionel Road website look quite nice, though probably outdated now.

Griffin Park on its day is buzzing but 90% of home games there is no atmosphere and it also cant be filled. Modern grounds are more compact which helps to generate a better atmosphere and crowds do generally increase when teams move to a new ground which will also improve the atmosphere, look at Chesterfield.

Yes but Stadium MK plays host to a club with where fans don't have many loyalties really. Majority are Prem club supporters in the local area.

Yes. And I think most people would tend to agree. If we're gonna do this, we should do it properly and leave a legacy for generations to come.

In terms of style i think Donny would be progress (not sure why out of all the new grounds you picked Donny but fair enough), in terms of size an extra 5k would be real progress. I would be very happy for a ground like St Marys albeit 10k smaller in terms of capacity.
