Absolutely right. The only player I would have liked to see stay is sammy moore but even he has not made the team recently. He could have been a good back up player if smith gets crocked again but never mind.

I still think there is some hope for thorpe if we can get a striker up beside him so I am not desperate to see him go like some others are.

I can't help but think what a massive signing this is, if only for the fact that we have beaten off competition from others, I, like most Bees fans at the moment are almost resigned to losing a player as soon as we hear another team is involved, but to come out of this with a player of his quality, and years on his side, is a real real boost. :sorted:

Ooooh, goody. He really impressed me when I saw him in his first game and he was calling for the ball the whole time and really took the game to the opposition. He showed more fight in that game than the rest of the team put together. But that was back in the BOBD (Bad Old Butcher Days).

Good point.

But I imagine that to facilitate all the wheeling and dealing happening today, Andy Scott must be having a lot of assistance from the boardroom. I am guessing there are many others inside GP to heap praise on this afternoon.

A monumental signing... I highly rate Dickson. Andy Scott is turning some heads.. in a good way! Perhaps, dare I say it, the Board have made a good appointment with someone who actually knows what they are doing.

Brentford in BUYING good player shock!!! :eek: :eek:

Funny isn't it how we appoint a manager in the summer, give him the boot, bring a new one in and then give them funds that werent available previously!! :fishing:

Thankfully this is a much, much better signing than any of Scott Fitz's last season. Let's hope we can keep it up and bring some real quality in upfront and fill up those empty squad spaces with players who are actually capable of playing in the first team.. :sorted:

Fantastic news, big ups to all involved and thanks to that pratt from Luton who is now at Lincoln for not wanting to play for us.

The last couple of days has hopefully shown that we are a football club again and no longer a "pub team" and a bit of a joke. Long may it continue.:sorted:
