So who do you think will win this?

The greatest sporting drama to many scribes, Sunday afternoon will be a must "sit down & enjoy". :)

Europe should be too strong IMHO, reckon by 2.5 points in all.

Good luck to any going to watch it live #bringthenoise :cool::D

As you say, Marky, compulsive viewing for three days (except from 2-6 on Saturday). So many good memories:

USA will enjoy being underdogs, so wouldn't want to call it :confused:

Worryingly I think USA without Tiger are a far more cohesive team, which takes away part of our edge.

They are still hurting from the last defeat in the states and will be highly motivated

Heart say Europe head says USA by 1.5 points

Five Live cover golf well and will make for a good alternative, especially as I'll be out and about for much of the weekend.

Wembley-bound for the NFL on Sunday. Hmm, might need Sky+ on my phone for the closing stages...

We really should be confident of winning it this time but I have a sneaky feeling without Woods and pressure off them to some extent I fear USA will enjoy Gleneagles this weekend, hope I'm way off and we trounce them obviously!

Anyone think it was a bit rubbish of Bradley to concede the winning put to Donaldson?

I dont think it was deliberately nasty, but Donaldson had a once in a lifetime chance of holing the putt to win the Ryder Cup which was taken away from him.

I would prefer my approach shot to be shown in years to come than a tap in to show how you won the Ryder cup for Europe

I agree. That was my first thought. Spoilt the moment. Still we thrashed them in the end. Shame Reed got his point. Didn't need the sshhhh to the crowd.

Anyway Mickleson has very politely slaughtered Watsons captaincy in the press conference which was amusing

I thought Sky coverage was poor, they seem obsessed with boring interviews when all I want to see is the golf.
They've a lot to learn from the Beeb

Sky coverage on all things recently is more about 'The Event' rather than the action. There's just so many slow mos and crowd reaction shots you need to see

To be honest I think that conceding the Ryder Cup by not making him putt out was a great example of the sportsmanship of the whole event.

I make my dad putt from 6 inches if we are playing a fiver a hole. And he's 69 years old.

no im not saying it wasnt sporting but it would have been nice to see the winning moment being a putt

Have to say I enjoyed the coverage on Sky apart from Jack Niklaus this morning who just talked over the golf. Sky do the whole package to appeal to both golfers and non golfers and do it pretty well

Watched highlights on BBC2 with Peter Allis and was not as impressed

As for the press conference Nikelson didn't hold back, don't think he will be on the captains Xmas card list any time soon you have to wonder whether the Yanks were a happy camp

That was bonkers. I happened to see the last two minutes of the programme just now and they did the montage of the week at the end. They showed precisely ONE golf shot!

However they DID show many may super slow mo's of young middle aged millionaires doing nothing remarkable whatsoever!!

I dont understand the way the producers of this think?!

I spent virtually the whole weekend following all sessions, if I was away from tv / iPad, then listened to bbc 5live. Their coverage was fantastic and Clare Balding, who lost her uncle on Friday was as ever absolutely exceptional.
When listening on the radio, you have to bring the audience with you and they did a fantastic job.

Phil Mickleson is an arse. Perhaps he doesn't want to get picked again. Post match press conference not the right moment to criticise your captain. Would love to see him duff a few shots next time out.

Or perhaps that was the first step in his campaign to be the next/next-but-one Captain?

At 44, he probably can't expect too much longer at the top as a player.

Anyhow, even if what he said was right, he still wasn't right to say it with Watson in attendance.

Never met him, so wouldn't argue.

But don't you think his comments at the Press Conference were crass and disrespectful?

I mean, Tom Watson is also widely held to be a great guy too, and assuming he was hurting as much as anyone, he surely didn't deserve to be publicly insulted like that?
