Strange you state that, because I always thought he was very similar to Canham and would end up in similar surroundings.
He needed a few season out wide to learn his trade (like Tabb) because he was so keen on following the ball when central, that his true position was often lost and we became over run.

In a league 2 side he was good, in our side now? i'm not so sure. Although AS would have him playing at centre back.......
