Got into the Princess Royal at 2.30 and it was mobbed.From that I expected a crowd of 6,000 plus.Good noise from those who went though

The Paddock wasn't very full.

Looking across from the paddock New Road looked pretty empty. We're a top 3 team playing good football and we should be getting bigger attendances, there are too many lightweights. The club and the players deserve better support.

It cetainly looked over over 5000 but maybe all the season ticket holders turned up for this one or a lot of comps in A Block or something

Ealing Rd didn't feel that packed have to say.

You can often tell a large crowd from how busy your normal parking area is and yesterday was quite easy to park.

Many years ago when I walked to the Bees from my family house by Syon Park I would judge the crowd by the cars going by on London Road. If there was a traffic jam it was going to be a "big" crowd.

Yesterday I was visiting my mum and thus walked the old route again and there was hardly any traffic at 2.30-2.45pm. Enough said

From where I was sitting in the New road, Breamar looked only about 60% capacity

Nowhere near sold out Nick. I was snapping from Ealing Road and there where empty seats everywhere in the Braemar. New Road was sparse too.

It's near Xmas and in the current climate, prices are an issue for adults watching football, and if I'm honest, the crowd was 500 higher than I expected, with Darlington bringing a creditable 400 plus given the length of trip.

I was saying yesterday, just how empty and lacking in atmosphere GP was. 3-4 years ago the place was rocking.

4,800 is perfectly respectable. We were getting similar crowds at this stage of the season last time we were near the top of Div 3 in 98/99. Also, it wasn't long ago we were getting 3,500 or so in the division above - 00/01 and during the Downes year and a half.

I agree. I thought in the first half you could hardly hear the crowd at all. Though the sound doesn't carry as well from the ealing road and that doesn't help. We only seemed to get going when the ref started to get it all wrong in the second half. Still, as noted above, the highest crowd in the league and even more than the rotherham/bradford match which I expected might be a bigger crowd. Got to get out of this division.
